    A lost sale is not a cost. You could just as easily say that Microsoft is costing Red Hat money by selling server OSes. That would be as ludicrous.

    I imagine that the local bands selling their CDs for five bucks apiece is costing the RIAA labels tons of money too. Know ahet? I consider it a GOOD thing.

    I also consider it a GOOD thing that free software "costs" Microsoft money. Because, you know, I hate their software, I hate their business methods, and frankly I don't care too much for Gates and Ballmer.

    Your bad is my good. Costing you? Well GOOD! Well done, FOSS! Here's to you kind sirs!

    I was in Utapao, which was close to Bong Chong (Wikipedia spells it "Ban Chiang". Theit calandar year as written on pirate tapes bought in Bong Chong sis sic thousand something.

    I never researched the history (with the exeeption to a single wiki search today), but I did talk with the region's natives. They dis NOT like the Chinese AT ALL.

    You won't find very many if any Thais claimimg Chinese descent. It would be like a white American in 1930 claiming African descent.

    The old Chinese dynasties regarded everybody as barbarian and wanted them to pay tribute, but I don't think that should be considered as attempts to take over?

    If the Mexicans or Canadians wanted to tax the US I would consider that they were trying to take over.

    On a side note, even the Southern China like GuangDong was considered barbaric until only a few centuries ago.

    I consider the whole world to be barbaric. Civilized compared to 500 years ago, barbaric compared to 500 years in the future.

    They're like the anti-smoking zealots. They got smoking banned in bars here in Illinois, despite the fact that before the ban usually when I was in a bar I was the only one not smoking. You have these damned busybodies who don't even drink going into bars to catch someone with a lit cigarette, to nmake sur ethey go out in the cold rain to smoke.

    It's disgusting, but you have to remember most people aren't like that.

    You say "we" are contented and satiated, YOU may be but I work for a living. Don't blame me, blame the rich people who are exploiting me.
