Humans make good or evil, yes it is real. I think what you are trying to say is that anything can be seen as good or evil depending on how you perceive the events and what you think the effect will bring.
You are overly paranoid. Anyone with $10, an internet connection, and a full name could get SSN, DOB, mail address, etc..
CC Agencies and those kind of businesses simply need to step up their validation to make sure people are really who they say they are, rather than just some random who could have paid for someone else's social.
I wonder what would happen if you told them that you actually forgot your decryption password and sat there trying it for a few hours then saying "I really don't know it!!".
Could they still convict you?
Probably DNS shit i get high # ports for DNS being blocked all the time by my router.. emailed my ISP months ago and they still can't respond as to what this is. dumb road runner
Dude you're smoking some crack.
No LAN is the biggest deal breaker I could think of - other than no video support.
Fight for what you deserve - these companies are just testing the water to see if they can take the power from us and we have to let them know that it's a big no-no (unless of course you enjoy paying extra $$ for less features).
Fight for rights with technology. Don't let power hungry gaming companies ruin the standards. What if other companies see this and decide to take away LAN? No more LAN = paying monthly fees for gaming servers.
Nah, boycott this garbage.
I think I'll keep my pride and my money while you can bow your little head down to Blizzard and accept their punishment even though you bought their game and are deserving of better.
Fight for what you deserve - otherwise you are gonna get a whole lot less.
Bravo, and I do hope the hackers/crackers of the world DO take this challenge up.
Can't wait for my brand new pirated copy of Starcraft II. I was going to buy it, but why support a company that willingly punishes its customers?
i'd say the majority of people are affected. LAN is very important for PC games and their decision will only increase piracy as now people like myself will be less inclined to purchase from a company that punishes their customers.
this game was supposed to be released December 08 with LAN. Things have only gone downhill now with a release date of 2010 and no LAN (I heard it was to prevent people from pirating it.. what next? they going to take out the keyboard to prevent people from typing in cheats?)!!!
Any chance I could get one of those toothbrush camera's installed as well so you guys can make sure I'm brushing my teeth properly? And how about a toilet paper camera as well? Make sure my ass is clean please!
Nothing beneficial will come out of an underwear drawer unless they got some weed stashed in the bottom.
On the other hand, nice pics of beautiful women seem pretty useful to me so uhh stop trolling - he's just an average man with sexual desires. If you can't accept that, then don't post on here.
Also, if these people really don't want others snooping around their data then they already know what to do - get an external, back everything up and delete the shit you don't want the PC guy to see. It's simple! If you can't take the time to do that, then you can't complain when the PC guy is jerkin off to photos of your nude wife. YOU HANDED THEM OVER ON A SILVER PLATTER!
I'd say about 90% of the computer (software) problems can be fixed by searching on google.
And about 90% of the hardware problems can be easily fixed if you take the time to put together your own PC and learn what the hardware does and how it should operate. It's EASY - I built my own PC at age 14 by myself not really knowing anything about hardware. Just RTFM!!!
These music games are terrible unless you've never played a video game in your life. If that's the case, then sure it will be fun because you have no idea how good other games are.
Being an avid gamer, these kind of games are truly boring as the gameplay itself has almost no complexity to it other than different speeds. All you are doing is looking at a note and trying to hit that corresponding button. I mean, any 20 year old game developer novice could make a game like this.. Hardest part would be getting the rights to the songs.

Wow this is funny, a bit off topic but I chill with Selmer Bringsjord's son almost every day.
:) I'll have to congratulate him.
Can't believe his dad made it into a slashdot article

"So, does this mean that reputational concerns are simply bunk?"
No, it simply means nothing is secure and if we stopped shopping from places that got hacked, there wouldn't be anywhere left to shop!

Ding ding ding!! We have a winner!!!
A Mac Gaming company would be like saying a Wet Fire. It just doesn't happen.

i don't think you understand
people shouldn't need cameras watching them
people should know that raping children and such is terrible
we need a better education system

Go twitter some more, maybe that will make you happy until you realize how useless it is.
Replaceable, but also combustible.
secrecy usually means you are up to no good (no surprise from apple with the exploding ipods)
why not let your customers know what you're working on and get them pumped up?
Yeah and the kids on cereal boxes are always little white kids racist bastards
Don't expect customers then! Have fun making no revenue :)
This goes along with the StarCraft2 no LAN BS
Why punish loyal customers
can anyone believe this guy's name is actually NEGROPONTE!?!?! LOL!!!

This stuff is truly amazing. Now if only we could get these geniuses to help fix our energy crisis..
