There was a show called "Masterminds" where they talked about people who did "get away with it" for a year or more. Almost all of them got caught by bragging eventually. The two I saw that were really long-term NEVER talked about it.
It's not just hackers, no criminal can keep their mouths shut. Even Bradley Manning got caught bragging to Adrian Lamo. If he hadn't, he'd probably still be free. But "confession is good for the soul".
I'm looking for click-in standardized replacement batteries. I pull up to a station. Unclick my batteries and put them in the charger and immediately click in replacements and leave. I'm not waiting around for 30 minutes to charge my car.
FEWER people, and they have electronic everything, schools, taxes, public offices and public information is public. Oh and they have way lower poverty rate than the US of A. And incarceration, but hey, EVERYONE has.
most normal people over here buy 5-10 year old used one
But in America, almost everyone can afford a new car...
no one is suing the guy selling his one text book after class ends
this person didn't really buy the books for himself which is what the first sale doctrine is for? he had relatives buy books for the purpose of reselling them in a country where people have a lot more money
i'm surprised SCOTUS didn't find for the publisher. this is a pretty big expansion of the first sale doctrine
So what? This is EXACTLY the same case as was fought for books about 100 years ago.
Not so much, that my friend is most definitely licensed and if modify any of it, including the boot software, you're in violation. I'm also pretty sure that removing the chip that contains the software and placing a new chip on still qualifies as changing the software that you 'licensed'.
You can modify the software you bought all you want. Sell that to someone else (which includes the manufacturer's copyrighted software) and now you have problems. Notice the Pauline version of Donkey Kong was eventually released as a diff file with a patch tool. As long as you have the original already, you can patch yours to match. But he couldn't include Donkey Kong in his changes legally.
Your doctor tells you your medical records will be posted in the front window of a white house at 123 Main St. You notice that the street is full of white houses. Just out of curiosity, you go to 125 Main St and see someone else's medical records. 121 Main St., the same thing. In fact every house on the block has a different person's medical records. You see a bunch of other people on the street, going to get their medical records from their respective houses. You joke out loud that you could make a lot of money selling everyone's medical records to some guy in the Ukraine. You tell the hospital that this is a lousy way to communicate medical records.
You get 41 months in prison for viewing everyone's medical records (in plain view) and for your "intent" to sell them to some guy in the Ukraine.
(And that usage is rare because certain demographics have fingerprints that are not reliably read by most scanners.)
I assistant coached my daughter's soccer team and they had the FBI at the orientation with a fingerprint scanner for all the coaches. I have sweaty hands and after the third try in 104 degree weather (that's 40C), he accepted the slimy unreadable print.
NVidia's CEO has repeatedly shown himself to be a shrewd man that knows where he wants the company to go. They have stayed in business a long time while others have come and gone. If he doesn't want this business (at the probably ridiculous bargain basement prices that Sony wanted to pay), then he's probably right.
New PS2 games were made for about 5-6 years after the PS3 came out.
Six years after the PS3s release, there is still an occasional game being released for the PS2, such as the Final Fantasy XI expansion Seekers of Adoulin, which will release March 27 of next year.
Carbs are addictive. Stop eating Cheerios and Shredded Wheat for breakfast and eat bacon and eggs or sausage instead with tea or coffee (unsweetened). You'll have energy all day and will stop craving the cookies. If you start the day with carbs, you'll crave them all day long. And if you can keep your carbs under 125 or so (or as close as you can get), you'll drop the weight really quickly. Your blood pressure and cholesterol should improve greatly as well (yes, even with eating bacon and eggs).
Don't believe me? Quit eating carbs and you can eat as many fat and protein calories as you like. The pounds will drop off very quickly.
I switched to a 125g of carb per day diet and lost 70 pounds in 9 months. I did no additional exercise. My cholesterol, blood pressure and other readings improved dramatically (I no longer take high blood pressure medication). I have a ton of energy now compared to before.
I eat bacon and eggs (in butter) for breakfast 4 days a week and eat buttered vegetables and all kinds of other things, not worrying about a single thing but carbs.
Back to the summary, switch the Mountain Dew to unsweetened iced tea and the Fritos to beef jerky...
Actually, they have gone up substantially in the last week, probably because people knew these regulations were coming.
Science is starting to get that dogmatic and religious, so why not?
Nice moral code there. I want SWATting to stop and to do it, I'll over-punish the guy illegally by ensuring he gets multiple rapes...
The other was that they got ridiculously greedy, BTW.

Why is the waste water treatment plant accepting waste they cannot treat?
Don't accept it and make the driller send it to someone who can handle it if you can't. Seems simple enough to me.
You seem to be misunderstanding water...and gravity...
Probably works better with sisters than with wives...
Not tonight.
Does this dress make me look fat?

The Republicans are for oil and cars and manufacturing, the Democrats are for government workers, unions and artists. But neither one is for you.

It's like an episode of Doctor Who or the Skrull Invasion, except that we prefer the aliens...
How about this analogy:

It seems like Duffy is dropping all the cases with or without their approval. I think the prisoner's dilemma has already begun.
I'm still waiting to hear his definition of "transparency"
Silly citizen. YOU'RE not allowed to hear it.

IIRC, Adam licked a photocopy of his finger and bypassed it.

Water, coffee, iced tea, anything 0 calorie that you can drink. Diet sodas have their own issues, so I would avoid them if possible.

Calories are completely irrelevant.

But EPA spot checks afterward and has large fines for you if you are caught lying.
