The victim decided he'd rather have an agreed upon payout rather than a long and somewhat meaningless court case (because the person that abused him was so powerful, he would probably get away with just "resigning").
Or maybe they'll decide they don't like a Creationist ministry... They just dropped "structuring" charges against Kent Hovind after almost a decade. Sounds like a convenient way to silence free speech.
Really? I have an HP 28S. Programming on it was always a pain because there was no way to back up programs. This sounds pretty cool. Wish I had it 20 years ago.
According to Paul Thurriot (a VERY reliable Windows source), yes: "If you are using a consumer SKU of Windows 7—Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic, or Home Premium—or Windows 8.1 “Core,” you will get an upgrade to Windows 10 Home for free."
Not when they claim that a large portion of the $500 million they raised was spent on building houses.
First time for Micron is how I read it.
It's open source, so of course they can put any version they want.
Because only .001% of people have them. Why include things for everyone when nobody actually uses it? On a small tablet, every byte counts.
I use FBackup for this very reason. Very simple. Always works. Uses standard .zip format or just a file copy. Files are always available.
And DVD playback is included if you had Media Center before.
3 more years of support?
So...you haven't tried it?
Pro Tip I learned yesterday: You can just drag it onto the little up-arrow.
Ninite.com FTW!
You forgot to install AnyDVD. In fact, if you install AnyDVD, you probably don't need to change the firmware either.

Well, in that case, I AM glad that it came back to bite him. But it's a horrible law that needs to be repealed as soon as it's done screwing him over.
Kent Hovind is doing this now: http://freekenthovind.com/2015/05/18/there-was-never-a-case-against-kent-hovind-malicious-prosecution-being-looked-at/, but that doesn't stop the fact that he spent the last 8 years in jail for no reason (all charges have now been dropped except a contempt charge for filing a lis pendens from jail to stop the seizure of his property before his case is over!).
Sounds good on a Slashdot post, but in real life it's not looking all that useful.

Worse. They are charging him with these "crimes" because he is "high court" and they can give him less punishment than the statutory minimum.
Do you report the robocalls?
You have an existing business relationship with them. They are in the clear.
What's a phone company? (J/K. I have Ooma and they weed it all out automatically using nomorobo.)

So, you mean people now have First Amendment Freedom of Speech unless they intend harm? What a tragedy! We need to shut that down right away!

I upgraded from Windows 7 and didn't notice any problems. The driver model is the same since Vista, so I wouldn't expect any problems there.
I don't use support. So I can get Linux free.
All Metro apps can run in a window on Windows 10.
