    Soy lowers testosterone levels. Soy intake is up. Asia traditionally had less testosterone than the west. This isn't really rocket science, is it?

    I was hoping that by now we could all have Gronk droids, small boxes holding a nuclear reaction (such as the one described in the article) and a plug that constantly generates a "free" portable 250W or 500W over a lifetime, complete with standard electrical and USB plugs. I would pay thousands for such a box. Wouldn't you?

    They got there first and have the water rights. They'll fight until the end of time. Plus, transporting all that water is going to make your nectarines cost $10 each.

    Anyway, it makes more sense for cities to switch to desalinated water.

    I'm not anti-science, am a creationist, never owned a gun, am very good with math and independent politically.

    The earth's temperature has NOT been going up the last 15 years. But otherwise I agree with your post. We are getting there as far as stopping the burning of fossil fuels which aren't unlimited and are dirty to burn. But a recent study showed that those who are railing about all this stuff typically have the highest electric bills and tend to drive large SUVs. Al Gore has been accused of this as well, so most of them seem to be hypocrites that want control over others rather than wanting a solution.

    Actually, in my experience, they will do nothing UNTIL they are hacked. Then, it's all hands on deck no expense spared until the problem is fixed. You just have to be ready as an IT professional to ensure that the problem is the old OS and the fix is the new OS (and new hardware if it's required for the new OS).

    We still had a Production SQL Server running on a Pentium 4 last year until I bypassed everyone and went directly to the CEO to tell him that 11 year old machines can crash at any moment. He immediately purchased a new server. I got in trouble for going around the process. You'd be amazed at what companies do.

    Exactly. A self-driving car will happily zip-merge all day long, eliminating that traffic problem. It won't jump out of a lane and cause another car to almost crash, eliminating that traffic problem. They won't drive right at the speed limit in the left lane. And so on. It's tons of people doing stupid things that lead to traffic.

    The old, big companies buy up the innovative new companies and raise the prices. See Allstate buying eSurance, Farmers buying 20th/21st Century, etc. When Farmers bought 21st Century, my rates were going to practically double for no additional coverage.

    At some point if their costs go down there will be competition. If nothing else, some new auto insurance company will come along and offer lower rates for various levels of self-driving car.

    I have a mostly self driving car right now (I put on the cruise control and it won't hit the car in front of me). Does this give me ANY reduction in my auto insurance rates? I keep on waiting, but so far no.
