The fact that we have a "both" is the problem. At least if we had a system that fostered minority parties instead of rendering them irrelevant, their issues would have to be traded for things the other party wanted in order to pass things.
And don't forget those blaring ads about all the things to do in NYC as a tourist. This shocked me the last time I was in NYC. And the cabbie said he had no way of controlling the volume.
A friend of mine said that in Afghanistan after the war with Russia, when they bought a new piece of land they would just let their sheep and goats graze all over it unattended for a few days. If one of them found a mine, they were dinner.
Actually, it is more and more the case. Scientists recently "voted" to accept the 65-million year dinosaur extinction. If you see how little evidence there is for that, it is scientifically untenable to perform science this way--as a political popularity contest.
This is not entirely true. Drugs cannot be regulated by the FDA unless they have harmful side effects. They are not allowed to regulate things such as vitamins.
Is a vitamin medicine by your definition? After all vitamins treat all sorts of diseases such as beriberi, scurvy and rickets, despite not being "medicine" at all.
In the same way, there are effective nutritional supplements that prevent or treat diseases, but have no harmful side effects. Glucosamine/chondroitin has proven very effective in treating joint pains and injuries. But there are no regulations on it, because it has no harmful side effects. If your definition of "medicine" is only what drug companies produce, then you are incorrect.
All this said, most homeopathic medicine is complete bunk and those that aren't have had studies done as to their effectiveness, even if they have no harmful side effects.
Not saying those are deal-breakers, but if I saw a resume with those problems, I would probably pass that person over since they are not detail-oriented enough.
Mega had no such terms, since they have no way of enforcing them anyway.

Well, a couple people just went to prison for extortion on something very similar, so I highly doubt it.
Yeah, but growing up, my parents would never buy batteries. So free horrible batteries were still better than no batteries at all.
Nope. I paid for the products and they have no right to search me.
Even at Costco, if the line is too long, I just walk out without letting them search me.
Plus is faster if you are not in a loop.
This is an excellent question. But it happens.
Criminals are dumb. They carry evidence of their crimes on their person all the time.
Source: I know a NZ customs agent personally. I haven't asked her what she thinks of this.

They already have their low-tech ways.

If you can guess the exact contents of any 2 files, you should be able to reverse engineer the key. Probably impossible though.
H. Can't spell "raised".
I. Doesn't start sentences with a capital letter.

If I was their IT guy, I would make absolutely sure that if anything happened to me their whole system was encrypted.
...don't be surprised if you end up with unmaintainable code..
Exactly. If he comes back it makes him the dumbest smart guy I ever saw.

Next time, say "No" to Sony.
