I actually enjoyed WoW for a long while, since 2004 off and on. I'm trying LotRO right now and having fun. To me free is better if it delivers a comparable product but Ryzom just isn't. The one thing WoW had going for it (and eventually against it) was the ease/simplicity of playing the game and their add-on system. Ryzom was cumbersome to do many basic tasks such as attack and loot.
According TFA they have made triangles and squares too, pretty much any shape you want by varying the speed. The fast the differential the fewer sides.
You might not like Gabe and Tycho, you might not like the games they play but they at least give you a fair idea of what they are like going in. The biggest thing that sucks is that they're format doesn't allow for them to review a lot of games. There is a reason they have become a power in the gaming world.
Because TFS couldn't be bothered to give a hint as to why I will...
"The dome could no longer accommodate the demands of research activities taking place there, however, and each year the structure sunk deeper into the ice it was built on. Blowing snow that collected on top of it had to be removed and hauled away, burning up precious fuel and crew time during the short austral summer. The international treaty that governs human activities in Antarctica requires that buildings and equipment no longer in use be removed and the site remediated whenever possible, necessitating the dome's deconstruction and removal."
I'm not an Apple fan and have never owned an Apple product, I prefer my Kool-Aid in different flavors.
But honestly this seems to be a pretty standard agreement, there is nothing horribly sneaky or underhanded going on. The only thing I have an issue with is that Apple has tried to keep it from being public knowledge, which is their ultra-controlling usual self but nothing to get riled up over.
What defines open? I'm not surprised an unprotected network could get you in trouble in many countries but if I'm using WEP it's not unprotected and wouldn't be open would it? I didn't give them the password... Those "malicious hackers" broke into my system and abused it...
Finally we shall realize the Sprawl universe! Corporations will be kings, the government will be little more than a glorified group of pencil pushers, and hackers will glide through cyberspace slicing ICE with hot decks...
Huh... Except for that last part and the crazy space people we're not that far away. Man I wanted an Ono-Sendai when I was a kid.
Then you might want to think about a new line of work.
I've installed Ubuntu on roughly 20 different platforms (laptop, desktop, and servers) since 6.06 and I've never had it not boot. In the past some hardware didn't work immediately but was a trivial fix (or ATI) if you could use google and even that hasn't been the case for a few releases for me.

I tried Ryzom about a month ago. It was not something I would call a fun game to play.
Hopefully some of the really creative developers out there can use this code as a base for creating some really fun games.

Like putting Icy-Hot on my balls...

My unit had our own little Monty Python story in Iraq.
We were watching Holy Grail in the shop late when a core switch caught fire shortly followed by it's neighbor so now it goes...
"What do we burn?"
"SWITCHES!"
"What else do we burn?"
"MORE SWITCHES"
Playing FF:VI on my Eris right now as a matter of fact.
Also HL:2, StarCraft, Warcraft 2 and 3
I stand corrected... I think I was looking at it backwards. I looks more like it's a depression around that ring...
So it's a reverse crater?
Looks like there is a ridge running around the site at the exact same place as the circular feature to me...
I wish I had points to give you today. +1 Insightful and/or funny

I find your ideas intriguing and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Perspective people...

Why not just setup WEP with some crazy password? That way cracking it is the price of admission... it's not like WEP isn't trivial or anything...

Is there currently a set of programs that does this in some automated fashion that will generate a list of discrepencies to parse through?

I know right?
Now I'm wondering if my phone can Roam off of someone elses network... That could potentially get expensive.
Droid Eris on the default browser. I'm in the middle of nowhere so it could be something to do with that.
Oh and no Wi-fi at work.
I'm on Verizon Wireless and am surfing 4Chan.org right now... Perhaps it is a highly localized occurance or does /. have that much pull?
