This can certainly be true whole "Greek" life thing but if you spend some time talking to people who just graduated high school and those that have just completed freshman year of college I think you may find that those that have been through college are much more mature in general.

True, it should be something that is easily figured out before anything is built so it should at least be explored and may be something that should be considered after it has been built since this is essentially a prototype and may have all sorts of interesting structural and atmospheric challenges.

He then grew up and realized he wanted to do something he enjoyed and took up landscaping. For many people college can just be a place to mature in a somewhat controlled and protected environment.

I came to this conclusion a while back when I was looking into the job market and I was running across a very significant number of "entry level" positions that were requiring masters degrees.

These days completing a A.S. degree basically means you can learn, something that graduating high school should prove but hasn't for decades. A B.S. degree typically means you've been exposed to the fundamentals of your field but will likely require extensive training. While a Masters implies some sort of competence in the field. Regardless of the truth of these statements that is how they are perceived and people are trying for every leg up they can get especially in a competitive job market.

It could certainly be entertaining. If it creates enough of a disturbance you could actually use the low pressure (high pressure is cold air) cell that is created to power other peripheral wind turbines.

So basically you want to create a Meta-Power Plant. While I don't think they need the resonance aspect to it they could certainly add turbines to the outside to capture passing winds (they're doing this on some modern towers), solar underneath (instead of having a black painted floor even), and adding in geothermal (if feasible at that site) would be icing on the cake.

I think very few people realize how little there is and even then it isn't waste as such. It can still be used as fuel in a different type of plant. An intelligent design would have a few types of reactors so you could go fuel in at one type of reactor and use it's waste to power another type of reactor on down until you've used as much of the fuel as possible before you throw it away.
