    Natural Gas and Coal power plants are very effective at what they do. Only a few square blocks and you can geneate power for 10s of thousands. The amounts of space that would take with wind or photovoltaic is significant. Downtown honolulu has a powerplant that is natural gas fired , right across the street from the major metro areas, most people dont even realize its there, its clean and quiet. Now I would imagine we would have to cover half the mountain behind downtown to generate the same amount of power disturbing thousands of native (and endangered) plants and birs. I think the current power plant is a much better option. Dont forget in reality SPACE and LAND development are also issues.... wanna destroy your watersheds by coveriugn them? with windmills ? solar cells? Modern Power plants are not a nuisnace they are very efficenient and create a lot of power per parcel of land,

    A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

    I read it like this

    shall_not_be_infringed(A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms);

    Its a funcion of non infringement on 2 seperate arguments. NOTICE THE COMMA!!! READ IT SLOWLY,,, there are 2 topics being covered here BOTH relating to guns. Thats why they are both covered... The governemt will not infringe on the milita as they are required for saftey, and people have the right to bear arms.

    what happens in the event of a crash? failure of the flash during an extended write? hard drives have SOME advantage do to the fact that magnetism is written to a disk. that can always be re created in a disaster.

    Would different FS types beable to recover from failure better than others on a drive of this type?

    I like the "idea" of removing the moving part.... but in the event of a head crash... you can pay some decent money...and you can get your data back... (usually)

    Seems like that solid state devices are vulnerable to a "zap".
