I think that's the point. He defines the phrase "nonworking PC" and people say he lies. You used the phrase "build a PC" and defended it with your definition because another on this board was being sarcastic with his own definition, even though it was a legit one. It's all BS legal mumbo jumbo mixed together with a splash of terminology. Whoever comes out on top, O.J. still did it!
How does this comment receive insightful when all it did was restate(with a oneliner at that) what was said in the parent that was modded to troll? The parent was actually more insightful, informative, or whatever you want to call it.
Common sense is allowed, feel free to use it modders. I guess you get what you ask for when participating on this site.
This article http://edition.cnn.com/2006/TECH/fun.games/08/30/g ameboy.ap/index.html/ was done by someone who is paid to report facts on their subject. If you read the whole article it states that the Game Boy is still having games developed for it. The games at the bottom of the report that they claim are original games are Advance games. Another mistake is that the DS Lite might be the only system after 17 years to replace it. Wrong, the Advance replaced the GB Color which replaced the original. Let's not forget the part that says the GB Micro is a slimmed down version that replaces the original. It along with the DS will not play original or GB color games.
Btw, I got my information from articles on Wikipedia that had the facts straight. What is to become of Wikipedia if no participation from anonymous is involved? I'm sure that no staff could maintain the Wiki unless it was large. Also, what happens to the material that they already have from users? Do they claim it as their own, which is morally wrong? There's no way they can start from scratch so the conclusion is that they will have to retain all that has been input thus far.
I for one have no problem with the Wikipedia as it is and applaud those who contribute.
Ulterior motive, isn't trying to gain money from the consumer the motive for all of these companies. The Big N is just trying to fit into the market still with it's innovative machine. Innovative being, I'm sorry for letting all of you, our customers down for the last few generations of machines, but please let us have a place in your wallets...er..hearts. They know they would not be able to compete with the other 2 so they come up with something that catches the eye. Believe me, if Nintendo had a new media format to pimp, they would. Remember they still don't even know what a cd or dvd is considering the fact that none of their machines support either format, until recently, the mini-disc thingy.
How can a country attack the same company that hires their civilians over Americans? Or at least employ individuals that speak a dialect of English that I can understand for their customer support.
Maybe now they'll start hiring someone that customers can understand and not waste 60 minutes just deciphering their code. But what is likely to happen is that they'll start hiring from some other country that horribly rapes the English language.
I'm not sure about any nongaming applications, but some games require that you have a swap file regardless if you need it or not. This will usually be indicated by an error message stating this fact or some other oddball message.
Of course this is an easy fix, just start using a swap file again
PC games in general don't have the market they use to. I remember going into some place like Babbages or EB(now everything seems to be Gamestop) and they would have almost two full walls of games. Walk into any store now including Best Buy or Circuit City and the selection is smaller with the fact that PC games don't generate revenue like they did at one time.
So with the smaller interest there is commercially to develop games for PC I'm sure it is especially difficult to find a company that wants to port their games to Linux. I am puzzled why games like The Sims don't get ported to Linux with the sales they put up. Or did they port Sims and I didn't notice. Not that anyone is missing much.
What about the bullies and their likely drop in revenue from those who use this service?
I see hard times for this industry.
And all you people think about is kid's rights, I swear.
The fact that the Myth series and Marathon were so great is your opinion. The popular opinion, at least the retail opinion, is that these companies games were not that great otherwise they would not have to sell out. Maybe in an alternate universe those companies would have done better as the population's favor of game buying would be different.
That's the thing I dislike about the parent comment, and any comment that rips on one company buying out another, is that since they believe they like the product so much they feel that everyone else believes the same. If the situation was the other way around I bet you there would be just as many complaining that Microsoft's series of games was now going to be ruined by Lionhead based on their current quality of games.
"I think you are right about positioning, however I feel the need to point out - if backwards compatibility is your killer app, then you must bow to the PS3 in that department - it handles PS2 and PS1 games, which is probably the biggest single-platform games library in the world outside of PCs."
If you had quoted his whole sentence instead of just a portion like an irresponsible poster, his context for single platform refers to the PS3 not the PS1 and PS2. The PS3 is a SINGLE PLATFORM that would support all those games. To call someone "childish enough" and not have gotten their own facts straight plus the addition of posting as anonymous while the parent poster did use a name is immature in itself.

Anonymous Cowards, bringing you the same hypocritical post since the birth of the Internet while not logging in.
...or build one that can take my place at the PC, downloading porn, so I can spend more time with the wife and kids.

I'm sorry if I'm supporting Microsoft, shame on me.

"without the hassle of charred lower extremities"
Instead you just have lightly baked lower extremeties with a touch of fried groins.

On the card. No actual money to be had. Or can you refund these?
I googled smarta** and it lead to this post.
