Yeah, I seem to remember a story similar to this one being posted a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... oh wait a minute.. yep it was posted here.
Anyway... anyone who can afford a PS3 can probably afford a cheap laptop running Linux which sounds like a more practical way of doing things - at least for me as I like to mult-task. It seems like the only reason to do this is just for the hell of it.
Actually it turns out it was a little over a year ago that I must have seen something about this. I did a search and came up with plenty of articles that date back to January 2007 when it was shown at the Consumer Electronics Show.
Chances it hits the Earth after hitting a satellite... 450:1.
Chances it hits the precise satellite at the precise angle at the precise rotation... 98493250:1 (the same chance Duke Nukem Forever is released this year).
I've come to the conclusion that there are far more Microsoft employees out there than Google employees. At least on/. anyway.
I've done at least 10 Google Map projects and each one was increasingly easy and they seem to add new features every 1-3 months which is great. They also have a good amount of documentation for upgrading from v1 to v2.x. My opinion is biased though because I have never worked with Microsoft's Live Maps API.
I'd say try them both or at least read what they have to offer in their documentation and then make your decision like many others have stated. Also keep in mind browser compatibility. To me, this is a huge issue but that could be because I'm a web developer?
Well obviously I don't know the grounds of rejection by the PTO so I can't answer your first question.
Restriction orders will not count against them... well maybe they should because most people that file claims are indeed insane and should be restricted from trying again and again... restriction orders count as 2:).
If the claim is successfully amended than the case does not count against them unless they roll a 1.
Anything but the coffee... please!
Obviously you're not using Firefox's built in spell checker.

Everyone knows that the next few hours post-420 are always full of theories, speculations and "what if"s.
If Slashdot begins to report these types of things as news, we're all in trouble.

Hasn't an R2D2 projector already been created? I thought I remembered seeing one on YouTube or something probably 2 years ago.

Does anyone on /. not have a Rubik's Cube? I'm not trying to flame at all... just an honest question.
lol! I wish I had some points for you!
I can't read that without hearing the A-Team theme in the background.
Vista is a danger to itself.
Now who's going to come forth and claim cybersex? I'm sure someone here could ;).
Petabyte? Is that like a tofu snack or something?
How can one forget Duke Nukem Forever?

3D Realms has confirmed that they will be releasing Duke Nukem Forever the 2nd quarter of next year due to issues surrounding DirectX 8.
Oops...
I think you meant to check the "Post Anonymously" box before submitting that...
Just another reason why we always urge our ecommerce customers to stay away from using PayPal. Not that we need another reason.
I'm all for the networking aspect! Go Google!
:(
Oh no! I'm lost in the Mojave Desert in my F16 and there is no Cessnas to blow out of the sky!
Well obviously I don't know the grounds of rejection by the PTO so I can't answer your first question.

I guess I should have clarified. It's based on whether or not they lose the patent case or submit for a patent and are turned down due to it being BS.
Whatever the case, I'm sure it would be better than what we currently have going on.
How about this for reform? If you file 3 consecutive BS claims, you can no longer file claims for 10 years.
Man.. this comment is funnier than the parent lol... someone mod this guy up!
You'll see kids running around with a pen-sized device similar to this one in a few years, using it on anyone and everyone.
