Well at least tinkering around and just exploring new ideas might result in some new creative games since they arent sitting down discussing how to we do a better FPS game with 1 new neato graphical effect. The Movies was definately a step in the right direction, although I've yet to play it
Funny, because I called their sales department like 2yrs ago for some information and they actually used Google for the search cuz the sales guy told he was going to search for some information on Google, because their website (microsoft.com) lacked the information.
they actually sold American products. But once he passed away they gave up that belief and just started selling cheap goods. I usually shop at Kmart if I have to, not that their really better as far as prices and selection go, but I try to pick the lesser evil.
As far as clothes go, well Target, Sears, JCpenny have decent, wearable stuff at least, stuff that isnt Nascar or Western wear. I wont buy stuff from the Gap since they exploit people in other countries (sweatshops) but really the whole clothing industry does to some extent.
Doom isnt popular because they focused their efforts to make it the best Single Player game. Even Quake4 which was a modified verison of the DOOM III engine, still didnt run very nice on many machines. I believe Enemy Territory:Quake Wars (a future game to use D3 engine with no single player) may still fail. Don't get me wrong iD has made great stuff, but as far as PC games go nowdays Multiplayer games are still the top choices for game engines. Its easier to modify a MP game for SP than vise versa. And the Quake 3 engine is proof of that because it had no real single player just bots.
One reason its slow its because it enables so many services and ones you might not even use. It should know not to enable Bluetooth service or Wireless unless you are using it, thats what "Automatic" is for isn't it? When I tweak XP I like to disable services that I dont need.
Seriously I've been using PHP for years now and have never met the PHP developers or had them over to dinner to help promote it to me. So what's the big deal? Its like saying you dont want to use sourcecode cuz the developer who created it is bald.
I'm guessing this is a Beta, due to all the complaints Ive read here. It looks well done, it has tabs, nice interface, it even grabbed the XP WindowsBlind theme I had and used it for the interface somehow.
With 60% being needed to be rewritten isnt the beta testing period going to have to be that much longer? I personally dont care when it comes out. XP is good enough for me, especially since I use 3rd party apps to help plug a lot of the holes, such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, a better firewall (one that blocks outgoing not just incoming). Even with all those third party apps running, it sounds like my machine will still run faster and better than what Vista is going to require.
I hate it when they have something important to say (quite rare) and then they dissappear. Then I have to go into the event log and see what it said.

But I'll take whatever freebies they offer. VMware Player and Server are great products for testing websites and software

Guess that makes it just that much harder for the Independant and small studios, what few are left

Tech books dont have a long lifespan, most tech books are considered out of date by the time they are 4yrs old.
The Emulator they make to play PS games will require you to rebuy those old games though
