What she was convicted of is not the same as what actually happened. Just because there isn't enough evidence to go to trial does not imply innocence. Just because a person is not found guilty of a crime does not mean that person did not commit a crime. Unless you are going to try and tell me that O.J. didn't hack up his ex-wife and her boyfriend based on the fact he was found not guilty. See, a court of law and reality are barely on the same plane of existence.
Innocent until proven guilty only is applicable in a court of law - in my own mind I can form whatever opinion I want. This is the United States, remember? I read some of the court documents and followed the story, and it was very clear to anyone with half a brain what was really going on. Insider trading, and then a mad string of lies for the cover up. And usually it is the cover up that gets you busted. Remember Watergate, or President Clinton's blowjob?

If everybody was using it, yes. But if you keep seeing a unique agent string coming from the same IP range over and over, it would be easier to track, to a degree. There are a lot of variables, but if you didn't have a lot of traffic it could make it easier to identify an individual user.

Ok, I will go slowly this time so you can follow. Yes, I said that randomizing the user agent every time would make you unique and easier to track. Then I said that if the user agent was the same every time (the opposite of unique) it would make you harder to track. As "anyone can plainly see", these statements do not contradict themselves, and actually support each other.

Oh, I get it. I just looked at your comments and see you are rated troll on about 3/4 of your recent ones. Good show - for a moment you actually had me tricked into thinking you were just really dumb.

  14. Re:Results and flash cookies on Tracking Browsers Without Cookies Or IP Addresses? · · Score: 2, Insightful

We were talking about the user agent of a browser as an identifier, not IP addresses or anything else. My point was that if every user agent reported the same thing, no matter the actual configurations or variances of the browser may be, it would be much harder to identify individuals out of the group. So I hardly made a foolish statement. Just because you didn't understand it does not make me foolish.

The only thing I believe about the hype is that Apple is contributing to it, at the very least, a small part. It is well known and documented that Apple "leaks" information about new products as a way of promoting and generating increased interest in their products. Can it be proven beyond a shadow of a reasonable doubt that Apple 100% is leaking rumors to create hype? No. But my mind is not a court of law and pretty certain is all I need. Feel free if you wish to believe none of the "hype" around this new Apple product has nothing to do with Apple actively fueling the hype fire. Me, I'm not so convinced. Who does the hype benefit the most? Apple. Logic then dictates Apple should contribute to it.

As far as the actual product goes - I'm sure Apple will put out a pretty tablet that is easy to use, and will probably cost a few hundred more than the competitors. Nothing Earth-shaking or too outside the normal formula. But that is just my speculation - others will widely vary I am certain.
