Windows is always talking to MS. For example, do a local file search, it opens a connection to microsoft servers. I haven't looked deep into what it sends, but why connect at all?
Everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong. They were in deep shit, and they knew it. Here is a very good documentary on how things played out.
I know this so called uber-programmer, who is just like this, perhaps worse. instead of shoving people around, he fires them. He simply will not tolerate mistakes and will blow a cork when he sees them. He will berate you, belittle you, embarrass you if front of every one, then maybe fire you. Rather standard behavior for upper level, ego driven programmers it seems.
It is common for the the movie industry to shoot scenes from drones. So they can't do that anymore? I am sure however Hollywood can do what ever the want, for the are the golden lamb.
Read about the new ridiculous rules the FAA imposed about drones.. Then you will understand. Don't you know we are living in a time when someone does something cool, it is automatically illegal?
It confounds me that still, in today's world, new technologies are designed as such:
Design core features.
Write and test/debug core features.
Then, if there is time, do a security audit and glue some security on top otherwise just release what you got.
Security must be built in from step one, step two, etc. and must be and integral part of the design.
Have we not learned our lesson yet?
The problem I find is it goes bad after 6 months to a year or so. Leaving a varnish like gunk residue behind. If I don't completely drain it from my snow blower in spring, and lawnmower and weed wacker in fall, the carburetors need complete overhaul and cleaning by the time I need them - the jets get clogged. You can see the crap in the carb bowl and tanks. Never used to be like this before ethanol.
Because it's a part of the larger anti-science sentiment going on thees days. People are so convinced they know all they will need to know, and science is evil and an unnecessary waste of money.
And then later, along came CALI, so we could play it on the internet.. It was so addictive, perhaps they shouldn't bring it back..:)
Another game I would like to see re done is Battle Zone, yet another addictive game.
I'm so glad that some countries have the courage to deal with this internet thing properly. I mean really folks, we can't have people running around spouting their ideas, disrupting the natural order of society. It's about time some one took affirmative action against this abomination that is the internet. The though of ordinary people saying what they want, doing what they want, making what they want, and OMG sharing what they want - It's just crazy! The internet needs people with a higher purpose to control, filter, and even dismantle this thing that is so poisonous to society. My god man, giving people free reign on the internet is like giving a machine gun to a baby! Wake up people!
It's the ISP's fault. Haven't you heard?
My father is turning in his grave. 37 years he worked at IBM 25 of which he designed and layed out chips at East Fishkill..
So sad.

As an additional measure I block micro$oft in my firewall so im not "forced" to do anything..

Sounds like dumb, sorry smart grid technology :)
I rather make my own devices and sensors. Much more fun and they will do exactly what you want them to do.
Another mistake was to get involved knowing that we would retire the shuttle and have no means of getting there ourselves.

Hopefully Google, Apple and Canonical find a way to replace Microsoft products before Windows 9 ships.
Out of the frying pan, into the fire..
envelope in my safe deposit box at a bank
That the government can legally get a search warrant for.
However the one your head it's protected by the 5th amendment.
Think about it.
It's far worse now, and you are right, my pre ethanol weed trimmer, all the hoses were destroyed , they just basically dissolved.

Well im glad that we have nothing to do with this..
You get a paycheck, right?
This is definitely an example of an examiner failing in their public duty.
They are doing their duty. They are making sure that large corps are making plenty of profit, thereby strengthening our economy! Win win for all!

Why would anyone need this when we have vi/vim?
Not to mention, yummy.
