  1. Republican nomination on Mitt Romney Answers Tech Questions · · Score: 1

Remember, Mitt Romney is currently trying to win the Republican nomination, not the presidential election. As such, he has to out-Republican all the other Republicans. If he wins, then he will change his strategy (and rhetoric) and try to appeal to a broader audience as he tries to win the presidency. This implies flip-flopping. Unfortunately, it seems to be a very effective campaign strategy (perhaps because people have short memories?) and about the only way to win a presidency these days. The question is, what will he say after he wins the nomination?

  4. Automatic Seat Belts on What's the Worst Technical Feature You've Used? · · Score: 1

Automatic Seat Belts. These have largely gone the way of the Dodo bird by now, thank goodness, but I still have a Mazda that has them except that they both quit working so now you have to sling the seatbelt over you as you get in the car. When they were working, they'd often hit you as they were going by. Bad idea.

There's a Simpsons episode where Homer sells something to Ned Flanders and the next day asks Ned for more money because Homer has since raised the price. I wish I could find a link. Very apropro.

  7. Swear word censor on Halo 3 To Have 'Mute the Jerk' Button · · Score: 1

"Anyone have some other feature they think might make online gaming better?" 1) Make a PC version. I much prefer a keyboard and mouse when playing first person shooters. 2) For the PC, make a text swear word censor feature. I don't want to listen to other players, but on the PC I would like to type comments and read comments. The user could create a local list of words they consider objectionable (like "shit" or whatever), and those words would appear censored, like "Holy $%#!".
