After struggling with Zydas ZD1211, various Broadcrap cards and two TI ACX cards, I tried using atheros. After that, I ordered 10 minipci cards to use in my various devices (NAS, Laptop, routers etc.). And by the look of things, I'm never going back;)
Have you read the thread on the ubuntu forums? It's not a bug, it is malice. Linux identifies itself as Windows to the BIOS, but their bios has extra checks that Windows ignores, but make Linux crash. They're actively trying to identify non-windows OS'es and point them to the broken table.
Well, if you're using a decently made web app it's going to have opened in its own personal tab/window anyway. No history concerns that way.
If a web-app is well made, all is well. But this is going to be abused by those too lazy to make a good webapp. Anyway, if a webapp opens in a new window, will it ever have a history to go "back" to? Will the back-button even be enabled in that case?
So it's OK if you steal from a company, but it's NOT OK if a company uses, to fix their own product and provide the support everyone cries for, something that was made specifically to target that company's product making it easier to pirate.
The product comes from a "trusted source" while the crack does not. That should be reason enough.
Ok, so this whole "twitter" thing is just bullshit then... Was wondering about that. Do you really think twitter signed up early enough to get an uid that low?
If I was that kid with a parent-installed gps in my car, I would be disappointed in my parents for not trusting me. And I'd demand it being removed after, say a year if there has been no "use".
Sure, the pedo crowd can still find ways to trade, but the web makes it too easy to hook up. Killing the web won't kill kiddie porn, but it makes it more difficult
Making it easy to hook up also makes it easier to catch them buggers. Forcing all the paedophiles onto Tor will just make 'em harder to stop...
I consider myself a geek (Been doing Linux since '94-ish, hung around slashdot a year before I signed up, have used a couple of dozed different operating systems, etc. etc.). I'd love to have a mac. I'd replace the mouse immediately, other than that I think I'd be OK. Now, I can think of another group to add to your list; the "sick and tired of fucking stupid OSes". I recently dumped Vista and went back to Ubuntu. Big mistake, since X keeps crashing randomly (Thank you ATI!). Firefox keeps closing my tabs for no reason (Didn't happen with the same version on Vista), Copy and Paste varies slightly between apps, and a bunch of other annoyances (Like my touchpad suddenly right-clicking instead of left-clicking... how the heck does one screw that one up?!).
All OSes have their strengths and weaknesses. Linux sucks on the desktop (yeah, still...) Vista looks good, but bluescreens on me when I logon too fast after suspend (wtf?) XP is getting pretty good now, but still acts wonky on my desktop. Windows in general is more consistent, but less consistent than OS X, and there's no commandline (cmd.exe really doesn't count for shit. 4dos helps, but it's nowhere near a real shell) OS X is a compromise that I like. It's shiny (oooh! shiny), while not letting the shinyness get in the way of function. And it even has a workable shell!
I guess I should get some food or something. I don't make much sense anymore.
Socket 939 and 940 are AMD sockets, not Intel.
That this comment is (was) moderated "Insightful" is a little bit scary. "Funny", yes. "Troll" for those with no humor.

Huh? I just *had* to google that one...

Considering your comment is #24345983, I'd say about 24.3 million comments. Also, I believe there's about 1.5 million different users.
REPORTER: Mr. Gandhi, what do you think about Western Civilization?
GANDHI: I think it would be a good idea.
crap.
He's just one of very many, and Linksys knows this.

Can anyone tell me why twitter is being modded troll here?
Of course. But claiming 2 watts power usage is not the whole truth.
Firefox also remembers form data in history, and undo for closed tabs. That's not the point ;-)
Considering that each USB-port is required to be able to supply 500mA at 5V (2.5W each, two ports, 5W), a 2W figure is plain wrong ;)

And nothing "traps" you in a page; just close the tab.
That kills the browsing history of that tab. Thank you very much for trapping me on that page.
It sucks cash, that's for sure. I've almost passed $200 on a single fill ;)
Automatics aren't regular around here (In Norway) either.

The patch is a separate, derived work regardless of the original.
Indeed, I am not twitter. Thanks for noticing ;)
(One may also check my posting history to see that I'm not)

my thoughts exactly
And (writing this on Ubuntu) I applaud Apple. They have a consistent, well-thought-out, userfriendly OS. That's more than any competitor :)
