The spectral lines shift toward the red. As some lines shift into from the visible range into the non-visible infrared, other lines from the blue end shift from non-visible ultraviolet into the visible blue region. All lines shift toward red. Some shift out of visible range; others shift into visible range. Thus there's no bias in the visible range on either the blue or red end.
"....a star moving away appears redder in colour than one moving towards us."
Oh Dear. Another non-scientist tries to write about science and makes a boo-boo.
Developers can switch teams and/or projects any time they want, no questions asked; just say the word and the movers will show up the next day to put you in your new office with your new team.
I don' belive it.
There aren't very many meetings. I'd say an average developer attends perhaps 3 meetings a week.
That's too many.
Google has a philosophy of not ever telling developers what to work on
I don't believe it.
Rather, I believe this entire story is a lame hoax. How about some fact-checking on this?
I'm really disappointed in this. Should this article have been dated April 1st?
I sampled 10 bots. None of them could do simple math. None could locate or
supply any information about major cities. In fact, I didn't get a single
serious or correct answer to any of 40-50 questions. Each of the 10 I sampled
simply responds with "joke" answers ('why do you want to know?') or paraphrases
"I do not understand the question". The Eliza program from the 1970s clearly
does a much better job. If this is a joke, it's in poor taste, as I assume
there must be people somewhere doing actual research on conversing bots.
"...risk loosing accreditation..." It teh innernet speling!
Oh Dear. I see you're *still* having trouble putting 'text' on a 'web-site'. I know it's hard. Really hard. Let's go shopping!
OS/2 Presentation Manager.
Why the horrible text/background color combination? Still??
...and they're use's.
Wow let's make it almost unreadable, and leave it that way even after everyone complains.
Why the horrible text and background colors? It's as if you want no one to read it.
