  3. The sad thing is... on BBC Kicked out of School Over Wi-Fi Scaremongering · · Score: 1

The sad thing is that some teachers actually believe this bullshit. For example, Lakehead University's President Fred Gilbert had all wireless internet taken out of the University because he was afraid of the harmful effects of EMF (electric and magnetic fields).

If I remember correctly hadn't the Canadian Supreme court already decided that downloading music for personal use was within our rights? If that's the case then can't we rely on that case as a precedent to help render this presumed upcoming law void? http://www.cirpa.ca/Page.asp?PageID=122&ContentID= 824&SiteNodeID=66

Congratulations for the lightest and slickest window manager ever

What a load of biased drivel! After considering such window managers as wmaker, Fluxbox, Icewm and slew of others I haven't mentions; Xfce doesn't even come close to being the "lightest". Granted, Xfce is light compared to GNOME/KDE but come on people lets be a tad bit more objective.

What the hell are you talking about? Sure nice visuals are going to attract users in the beginning but in the end the deciding factor of whether a user is going to continue using GNU/linux is its usability. As far as succeeding in the real world, I think it's safe to say that GNU/linux is doing quite well considering it's rapid adoption in the server area and recent surge of new users in the desktop end.

How is having less female software engineers a problem? Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with female software engineers but does having less female software engineers really pose a problem for the industry or is this just another rant by some feminist hack to try and garner more publicity?
