On board memory controller, Better cpu to cpu link, a lot of chipsets to choose from with intel xeons you can only use intel chipsets, more cpu to chipsets links, chipsets with more pci-e lanes and other stuff.
not that fast intel next xeon chipset will FB-DIMMS in the high end chipset with pci-e 2.0 also not all of the pci-e lanes will be 2.0 and DDR2 ECC in the lower end one with less pci-e lanes and no pci-e 2.0.
The FB-DIMMS are sucking up alot of power and giving off a lot of heat. That is bad for intel as there chipsets use alot more power as well and that looks bad next to a AMD system with cheaper DDR2 ECC ram.
Intel new 4p systems with 4 FSB, L3 cache in the chipset and FB-DIMM may even use a lot more.
Amd systems can have more then one chip set link and more pci-e lanes as well.

How long before we drivers for mac that work with any ati / amd video card with out a EFI rom in a x86 mac? Drivers for mac os x 86?
People with ATI / AMD video cards are reporting that they can not use DRM video and HD-DVD or BLUE RAY disk in vista any more. They are also reporting DRM and errors and DX 10 games are not working.

why not just a 1 amd 4x4 system with ddr2 or dual opteron board with ddr2 ecc or a quad dual board with ddr2 ecc and HT bus is faster then a gig-e link. Lower cost ram then dual xeon with FB-DIMMS.
you can save even more by cutting out the network cards and getting a nforce 570 or 590 board with dual gig-e and a low end video card. or cut out the pci one and use a pci-e and the on board gig-e.
And move to 2x512 or 2x1gb of ram. Why pay $48.49 for 1gb of ram when you can get 2x1gb for $20-$40 more.
You should get the full os install disks for free you are paying for them and M$ should have them up for download as ISO images that need the key on the system. I had to download a torrent of XP media center 2005 to run a repair install on a system that I was fixing for some one and they did not get a install disk / restore disk with there system.
and how does it work when one the person who is sent home is the one who is the guy who says yes or no to things or has the passwords do people who are still working brake the rules to get there job done even if that means that you have to hack a password.

Some recovery disks wipe out all of your data.
vista is better at 64 bit then xp is good luck finding drivers all of your hardware for xp 64bit.
Part of on 1gb big download is updates that have been put up form the time that vista came out.
But still 1gb is alot to down load and 7gb to install is a lot of space.
Will you need 10gb + free space to slipstream it? Will it + a vista install fit a on a DVD5?
is apple paying for this in under the table.
