But when they're free like the rest of us, it's their problem, and it's just too bad if they can't afford food/clothing/shelter/healtchare/education/etc.
This seems to be the basic premise of the Tea Party, or as I like to put it..."I gots mine, screw you."
The ability to believe in God - in a higher power or purpose - a "oneness" of the universe - is no less real and no less valuable simply because it fails logical tests and empirical evidence. Being able to share the Love of God - an ephemeral presence outside of time and transcendent of ordinary matter - is no less a source of meaning and happiness regardless of the paradoxical nature of the journey, or the cognitive failures in grasping extrasensory concepts.
The problem here is not the failure of a bit of hardware. That can be remediated by having backups to tape, DVD, or whatever, that you control.
The problem here is the failure of a business that has your data. If the business fails, they have functioning hard drives, tapes, etc., with a copy of your data that is not under your control. That data may be, and probably is, the core of your business. That outside copy of your data could potentially be sold to your competitor without your knowledge or consent in order to satisfy a debt that you had nothing to do with. If you don't control the hardware that your data is on, you cannot control the data.
Little wonder that some people choose not to blindly put their data in "the cloud."
If you are able to put a server on the hospital's network and have it working without IT approval (apparently), then I'd say the hospital has a bigger problem.
Never mind the fact that IT is unable or unwilling to support the tools that you and your team need to do their jobs.
...please tell me these people are well aware that Arkansas has been home to some of the largest seismic events in North America.
Ummm....okay....
Of course, it's common knowledge about the fault line running through Arkansas. I mean, hasn't EVERYONE heard the joke about the state falling off the continent?
Not that I'm doubting you, but I have an E6400 that I was given, and it's been working pretty well for me.
Of course, if you have 10 broken ones, it sounds like there was either a bad production run and you got unlucky, or a good run which left me the lucky one.
Either way, I probably wouldn't get one of these for myself.
You can SAY whatever you like, but you cannot call it news, even here in America. There is a fundamental difference between speech and news.
A definition of news, from dictionary.com: –noun(usually used with a singular verb) 1. a report of a recent event; intelligence; information: His family has had no news of his whereabouts for months. 2. the presentation of a report on recent or new events in a newspaper or other periodical or on radio or television. 3. such reports taken collectively; information reported: There's good news tonight. 4. a person, thing, or event considered as a choice subject for journalistic treatment; newsworthy material.
Generally, if you have to put "I think" in front of a sentence, that would classify it as opinion. While opinion is indeed free speech, it cannot reasonably be called news.
And as the person responsible for making sure the Cub Scouts in my den actually meet the requirements, I am going pay particular attention if any of my Scouts claim completion for the belt loop or badge.
That being said, I see no real problem with this, and yes I read the requirements for the badge. In my opinion, one of the purposes of Scouting is to allow the boys and their families to learn about various subjects they may not have exposure to otherwise.
For example, the Cubmaster in our pack is a certified Hunter Safety instructor. He has taught the boys things about the outdoors that I did not know. I gave a presentation to the boys (and their parents) about computer and Internet usage. We work together with the parents to try to share our knowledge and views with the boys in a fun and supportive environment.
My goal is that my Cub Scouts (and my son is one of them) will have the confidence and knowledge to make good decisions on their own.
The reason that only the two parties are in the debate is that they own the Commission on Presidential Debate. They wanted to make sure that most people voted for either one or the other.
In my case, it's before doubleclick, but that's not the point. You and I, along with the majority of/. readers, are the ones who not only know how to do it but more importantly we know TO do it.
For the vast majority their Google searches, along with most of their browsing, might just as well be posted on the grocery store bulletin board for all to see.
...that both wings of the Republicratic Party have more than their fair share of morons and be done with it?

or patented a "system of examining the natural world using hypothesis and experimentation to arrive at predictive statements".
Sounds like a plan...I have to contact a patent attorney...thanks for the idea!

+6 for this statement alone.
^^ This...wishing I had mod points.

There...feel better now?
and only old people use email in South Korea...with hot grits, and Natalie Portman naked and petrified.
Also, what brand of crack are you smoking?

Replying to undo bad mod....sorry.
I wouldn't take that bet either.
When I log onto facebook and when my girlfriend log onto facebook, we'll see different advertisements.
Facebook has ads? NoScript/BetterPrivacy FTW!
Where do you think they get their ideas?
Thank you for providing me with my new signature!
How on earth do you pay rent with only $8000?
That's what the Section 8 subsidy is for...to help pay rent.

Feel free to mod "Redundant".
I guess they also check the URL of their bank before entering passwords.
Guess again.
Because I posted earlier, so I can't mod..
+10, Highly Insightful.

And that was to just not go to the movies. This was the option I chose.
Only the lucky ones...
The rest will be stuck at a fast-food joint flipping burgers, thanks to outsourcing, the H-1B and L1.
No...no it isn't.
