    Amazon got into the MP3 game, and ALL their tracks were DRM-free and available via a one-click download directly from my browser.
    Almost as if the one click method were an obvious method that everyone should be allowed to use...

    I think "break up the water molecules" might mean "reduce the surface tension", in which case, they'd be doing have of what detergent does (allows the water to seep deep into the clothes and move dirt around). If they also bound to the dirt, helping to pull it away from clothes, then you'd have something.

    The weather sites and Stock site preferences could easily be set in your phone's preferences, or your phone could request a "local weather" forecast by sending the local zipcode (perhaps gleaned from the Cell-towers). There is no reason why they would need to know "User XYZ is in denver, and wants to know what the weather looks like" or "User ABC is in Hawaii, and wants to know his current stocks".

    China, and other heavily industrial countries pressure the UN to force the pacific ocean to give up control of clean air.

    I don't know what the documentation looked like when you were evaluating, but the linux section of http://www.truecrypt.org/docs/ looks like it has a man page for a linux executable, and doesn't mention MS Windows.

    Employee X who has access to warden data won't have access to account data, esp. credit cards. If employee X finds a way to get CC info from warden data, including the person's name, etc. then employee X can make a lot of money selling flash drives to organized crime.

    A coworker recently ranted about Cheney, and how he [Cheney allegedly] got a covert operative murdered. It took me a while to realize he was talking about Valerie Plame. Luckily, he's a reasonable guy and just had been fed the wrong facts, like for instance: Valerie's alive and well, and was never a covert operative. He calmed down a little once he knew, but it shows that he didn't bother to listen to both sides' talking heads to get a clear view.

    These were all on CDROM recently. I know because I saw a stack of boxes at "Half Price Books" for $5 each. And you owned them for that $5, and could read them whenever you liked throughout the year, without having to pay $120.

    Yeah, ha ha, that's the joke the bushies always say. But to them, it's proof that [(not pushing) does not equal (no AQ "resistance")], and on that note, I concur. Osama wasn't getting the headlines he used to get, and was probably hoping for another asprin factory debacle.

    I know Corey Shields (of the ubiquitous Splunk ads here on /.), and it was a little jarring to see someone I knew (who's not famous) in an ad. Of course, there was the "hey, did you see corey in the splunk ad?" craze amongst his former coworkers, but I don't know how I'd react if my "friends" on facebook started hawking warez at me.
