Meaning you read it from a Wikipedia page and didn't experience it yourself. Sure, there were some very rough edges (it was a computer game, not a movie), but the core of the plot (bad guys learning to use the digitizing array for profit) is better than "rogue program traps its user in a standalone sparcstation 4, which has enough computing power to spontaneously create hundreds of autonomous AIs (called ISOs)".
Also, the internet and computer-hopping allowed for colorful vistas full of interesting things. Tron Legacy on the other hand, was dark and mostly monochrome.
And this is what we will see for Star Wars. Instead of a (semi)logical progression of the story, Disney will turn Star Wars VII into a story about a space-vampire-by-night, teen-pop-holo-star-by-day who is also a Jedi. It will be a romantic dramedy, with a hint of tragedy, because her boyfriend from Galactic High is a Sith gang initiate.
Now, Are they going Yuuzan Vong, or are they going to piss on twenty years of expanded universe?
If Disney trashed the excellent plot of TRON 2.0 (which they owned through their subsidiary) to establish the placental afterbirth as the rightful heir to TRON, then they will have no problem telling the Star Wars expanded universe to shove off. Lucas didn't throw the West End Games version of Star Wars pre-history under the bus when he made Ep I-III, but Disney doesn't care what fans think, only what Disney thinks the masses want.
Death Star? Dark Side? Who the hell would name their crowning technical achievement and religion using such negatively charged words?
Anyone who wants to rule with the iron grip of fear. Heck, Adolf Schicklgruber renamed himself Adolf Hitler, the most infamous name in modern history. And the National Socialist Party? Tell me if that doesn't sound close to "Nazi". Some people go to great lengths to sound evil, like goth punks.
Great, now you've got me thinking about mopey SS officers with black fingernails and eyeliner. Are you satisfied?
But Iran won't infect Chevron (to no affect) with a nuclear bomb. C'mon, man, this is a Corporation we're talking about here! Have you no sense of proportion!?
When gas is cheap, many use it incorrectly (for an emergency scenario); idling for an hour to "keep the engine warm", using it for lighter fluid, driving a block away, etc. when it's expensive, it's treated as precious.
In fact, workers for non-profits can make a pretty penny since the non-profit seeks to divest itself of money and salaries and bonuses are a great way to do that.
What you'll see is a whole lot of "science majors" for the first two years, "taking care of electives" and only taking a few low level math and science courses (their real electives). When the jig is up, they'll switch majors and pay the higher tuition then (unless there's a penalty for switching).
* One is a future what automation has taken over so many jobs that there is a large underclass of impoverished unemployed who are rounded up into social security camps, chemically sterilised, and guarded by robots.
* One is a future where automation has taken over so many jobs that everyone can have a basic income that ensure they can live "comfortably" doing whatever the hell they like - and the increasing efficiency of the technology means the level of comfort increases every year.
The privacy angle is that in the utopian version of all this, people voluntarily have implants that record and process all their sensory input, and AI agents watch to see if they are about to commit a violent action, and switch their motor neurones off to prevent them from doing it.
So both societies are prisons guarded by robots? The AIs will never abuse the power to shut down people's brains by interpreting more and more things (like cheating in a computer game) to be violent actions (or ignoring that rule altogether)?
That is in serious need of citation. The only thing I remember about that we're all the pundits trying to say he said that, but never offering proof. You may be remembering a manufactured quote.
They'll migrate back to Windows just like they did when Apple ruined Final Cut Pro. The mass exodus to Adobe Premiere running on Windows left FCP as pretty much a non-player at this point for serious video editing.
Word. I've seen them migrate with other Adobe products too, just because they have to use windows for one purpose, so they start using it for others.
Thankfully the Xserve debacle caused some higher ups to realize that Linux on cheaper servers is a better option anyway.
In some states, lock picks are totally legal, but if you're caught with them on yourself during the commission of a crime, they become "thieves' tools" like with crowbars, glass cutters, and other normally legal items.
There are things that make it look nicer, but nothing beats a rats' nest of cables for pure speed. Any time you start running cables in a trough or in hooks or through tubing, it's tougher to find/replace cables than you may have thought. Unless you're removing a tripping hazard or have some appearance requirements, skip it and let the cables lie where they may. Just make sure you don't do any loops or tie cables in a knot (and whatever you do, don't use zip ties, even if you're sure you won't have to replace a cable in five years. Best case scenario: in five years you'll regret it).
Can they prove that you didn't snap a picture of someone else's vote?
That's like saying "The state has video of me sleeping with my wife in the park. Maybe it wasn't my wife, maybe I was raping someone!"
i.e. I have a feeling that taking a picture of someone else's ballot is a worse offense.
Get your reading glasses ready for two hours of text wall.

Mega CONZ... It's a TRAP! err, a Con!

Tesla motors sells suped-up golf carts, not cars. No need for franchises.
I scrapped gnome for xfce when gnome 3 screwed everything up. They can turn it into garden-gnome for all I care.
Blackmail. As the head of the CIA, he was right to resign. He probably resigned because someone tried to blackmail him.
Even the one where the Enterprise crew teams up with Satan? (No, I'm not kidding)
Changing passwords after? Change them while they're in HR's office or just before.

Coming from a CIA-man, that's less of a promise, and more of a threat.
Further proof that the metric system is hazardous to your health.

Either party is deeply toxic towards America with their own unique blend of anti-freedom, anti-citizen agendas.
FTFY. Replacing the word citizen with consumer in public discourse is one of the toxic things they have done.

Jill Stein on Evironmental Reform: "Kill all humans to protect mother Gaia."
"Hey sexy mama... Wanna kill all humans?"

And no dual boot, and they can continue with the plan to make OSX into desktop iOS, complete with walled garden.
