You, my friend, are caught in the AVG reality distortion field.
A former employer of mine would put AVG on everything. They almost learned their lesson when a bunch of machines with AVG installed went to hell at the same time. The computers would get caught in an endless reboot cycle.
First came denial. They wouldn't admit that it was AVG's fault, even though that was the common thing on all machines. Then they contacted AVG and got a patch that would fix the problem, but we had to go all over town putting it on all kinds of machines
In the end we figured out that an AVG update would mess up machines that used to have Norton AV installed.
Maybe they should have said to question everything.
I had a few teachers that would question everything and argue all sides of an argument. They would even turn on themselves mid-argument to make sure the kids understood all the facets of a subject.
If we would teach our children to question everything, they would be better critical thinkers as adults.
Have you ever looked at a land-ownership map of the Southwest? There are vast swaths of public land with little spots of private ownership, mostly in the populated areas.
There isn't enough private land in the Southwest to meet solar energy needs.
People working in IT are like appliances. You do what you are programmed to do and get no respect. I had several IT jobs and finally realized that I had to leave the field. The job sucked and everybody was an asshole when things broke.
As a republican, I find this sort of increased government intervention frightening.
Well then you are a real Republican and not a RINO like McCain. It was Reagan that said the heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism.
Now, will you take the blue pill and pull the McCain lever in the fall, or take the red pill and join us against him?
If you take the blue pill, you'll wake up in Amerika and believe whatever you want to.
Incredible Hulk, playing now! Scantily clad teenage girls! Incoming message from webcam whore! Want to see my nude pics that myspace banned!!!!111
Annoyed yet? I was. I don't use myspace anymore.
Even if what you are saying is true, they DO have a right to lie, like it or not. Just go read the first amendment again.
What if the government decides a truthful reporter/host/commentator/whoever is lying? If we allow telling a lie to become illegal, we are at the mercy of whoever gets to decide what's true and what's not.
People will always be lying to us. It is the viewer/reader/listener's responsibility to find out what's true and what's not, not the government.
What makes us think Humans are intelligent? We mostly act like a simple substance that reacts to another substance commonly released into our population: propagandium.
The reason the liberal left will not try to help Barr is because they know he can hurt them just as much....not all of Barr's support will come from McCain.
That would be a solution to a host of problems. Impeach the Republican party, remove all republicans from office. Impeach the Democrat party, remove all Democrats from office.
Maybe then we can get into the real meat like tax reform, making them read what they vote for, and getting the government out of every room of our house (not just the bedroom, though that is important).
I'm a photographer and there's no way I can fit my gear (audio, still and video) in the back of a subcompact.
That and most subcompacts would be destroyed by the off-road driving I do as part of making my living.
I guess I'll just give up my rewarding career and work at McDonalds or Wal-Mart so we can all drive coke cans to make you happy.
And don't keep floating the gas price thing...go ahead and give me $10/gal gas...Some of my clients pay me $250/hr. It's still profitable to drive my gas guzzler.
So you are saying it's OK for a Hollywood producer to take a book somebody wrote six years ago and make a $100M movie and the writer doesn't get a dime?
You are too busy knocking corporations to realize that some artists are freelancers. Should the corporations be allowed to take the freelancers work and profit from it after five years? Some examples:
-Indie bands
-Freelance Photographers
-Writers
I am a photographer. So you are saying it's OK for me to take a picture of an important news event and then the local paper kills me and takes the image because they have more men?
Liberals are always complaining about keeping the government out of our bedrooms...that is until they think the government needs in.
If two men or two women can do whatever they want, then my wife and I should be able to do whatever we want in our bedroom, however we want.
And come try to take my kids away or sterilize either one of us....my shotgun will sterilize you first.
If world population is such a problem, go find a place locally where there is a large difference in height between two points a few feet apart and step from one to the other. You'll also help reduce greenhouse gases and hot air in our environment by doing this.
There are no laws forcing you to send your children to church.
The public has a say in what is taught in schools, but churches are private entities. You have the freedom to go to the church of your choice or no church at all. If somebody disagrees with what's being taught, they have the right to leave and make their own church. I don't have the right to go and start my own compulsory universal school system though...
Just go to AOL keyword Vaseline...it will make the whole process far less painful.
I don't want to hear them complain when they can't watch a youtube video, see decent looking pictures, etc.
There's enough broadband adoption to abandon the dial-up users. If we quit designing dial-up friendly sites they'll change their mind in a hurry.

But if the ejaculate matter from said penis contributed DNA to that clump of cells, shouldn't you have a say too?
Child custody, abortion rights, and now reproductive rights are starting to become unfair to the men involved.

Or you could all just give up the authoritarian crap and join the party of principle.
We oppose all of the above and don't come off looking like hypocrites.

Don't use the 'my congressman isn't part of the problem' card. He or she is.
Don't vote for any more Republicrats and we won't have these kind of back door deals.
We critize countries like China for not giving their citizens certain rights, but we will not give their citizens (or anybody's citizens) rights.
Maybe we can criticize now.
They hack better than they lie...or maybe they aren't aware that Americans don't have only one source for news...

Hallowed are the Ori.
Cars built with spaceframes can weigh less than their unibody cousins with more safety for the occupants.
By using fiberglass or plastic body panels, even more weight savings can be realized without compromising passenger safety.

We need to figure out how to make our control crystals less susceptible to Zat'n'ktel fire and resistant to staff blasts before production.
Oh, and we might need to consider locking the compartments that hold our control crystals...
