    Credit history needs to be barred as an employment criterion, as who knows the actual situation that was the cause of the negative score. (Bad Dept. Collection for example)

    Well, learning projects should always be free. I think OSS and Commercial software can exist in tandem one supporting and advancing the other in done properly. Anyways, I am trying to write my code as close to my own as possible, and yes not being very educated is a detriment to debugging skills. Hmm, So long as the one that modify my software do not remove the notices and add their own to it then hey no problem. and I dont really care anymore is someone rips my idea or routine and go off and claim it as their own.. fck em.

    Lawyers are insane. dont trust them and if they smash FOSS into the ground then FOSS will go underground and become a software blackmarket. Then the "Drug War" against the free code will begin... and turn innocent ppl into criminals. The prisons are too full anyways, no need to make more.

    well, ppl should be able to modify software to fit their needs but the the origanial author(s) rights still need to be acknowledged in the take it all and give nothing back world.

    Why not charge for internet like the way the power companies charge for power consumption? e.g. 0.39/kbps hmm.. just gotta have a metering software looking at your ip/mac address and apply it to your bill. Only pay for what you d/l and thats it, and they can tack $3 or $5 on to cover uploading since ppl only upload small amounts as downloading...

    This type of advertising doesnt work on me. If the advertiser cannot spell the product and produce meaningful sentences with out mumble jumbo at end then I dont give it any attention and delete it. Imagine if TV ads were like this, company would be out of business in a week, flat. So I ask, why is this email spamming thing still going on if it isnt looking professional?

    Why not people go out and byt wifi routers/access points and use firewall/acl rules to like these networks up in a bucket brigade network to allow amateur access to the internet. And anyways with firewalling these wifi networks can be made secure so others cannot hack your personal PCs on the LAN side. --chris PS: Hmm, FidoNet II? :-)
