I've been waiting for a post like this. The Census Bureau says that all of our census data is kept secure. Yet you, and others, have access to it. Anyone doubts of fraud being committed by the Census Bureau now?
...hell if you believe that Democracy is an absolute right then you can just says that since PRC government was not democratically elected then all the laws it enacted are illegitimate.
Why limit this to PRC? If one believes that Democracy is an absolute right, then none of the current major governments are legit. You might find a Democracy in smaller governing bodies, organizations, etc.
It appears that Huffington Post changed the text of the article (and added photos, etc). Currently if I do the same search, Huffing Post doesn't even come up; much less the text that it contained. Doing the same search does yield other results though. Next time I link to something I'll include the text. Lesson learned.
Of course she would ask for illegally copied music. It just... sounds better. Doesn't it?;)
Consumer electronics and media gifts like iPods and DVD's are what you give when your out of ideas. They do not show a good level of understanding of the person you are giving the gift to
I agree that electronic/media items are common when you're out of ideas. It especially shows in this case since it wasn't an original idea from the Obama family. It's what the Queen herself asked for!
You can find other sources by searching for "queen elizabeth wanted ipod"
Why not teach them to code? (or something similarly useful computer-wise) I wrote my own "choose-your-own-adventure" when I was in 1st or 2nd grade. I think the situation you found is one where the technology is present, but the teacher isn't. That's no reason to banish computers from early education.
Anyone remember learning about circuits and logic gates with Rocky? Come to think of it, does anyone know if I could play that today on my Linux box?
My way is easier. Tell the folks that bought property near the airport (or didn't move in the several years it took to announce, plan, and build the airport; etc) to be responsible for their own decisions.
The purpose was to decrease the time it took to process a passport aka person.
You mean the excuse was to decrease processing time. On every occasion that I've had my passport checked at a border it only took a few seconds. We've already heard the excuse. We still don't know the real purpose.
Eye couldn't of said it better myself. Aye no there doing the best they can over their, but four awl intensive purposes the editing is very pour. As fore the verdict itself, I could care less.
I believe the same scenario would be true for anyone that wants to vote for someone that does not want to run for President.
If McCain and Obama were really concerned about doing things right, they would have filed in time. If they're too distracted with playing to the media, then they gave up their chance to run in Texas.
It's not like each candidate doesn't have huge teams of people to take care of this stuff. Since they didn't utilize their team well; it is an indication of how they will not pay attention to details once elected.
Why not plead "not guilty" to charges when your rights are infringed? Why not file a harassment complaint and file a civil suit? You'll feel free when you stand up for your freedoms... every single time they are infringed.
Without standing up for yourself, you will never experience the feeling of freedom; it will always be threatened.
I use the keyboard, sans mouse usage, with GUIs all the time. Just because the keyboard is faster than the mouse doesn't necessitate CLI usage. In fact, sometimes writing out words in a CLI is slower than pressing alt+(insert letter here).
Also, from first-hand experience, back up all your data and burn a CD of the new Ubuntu release. I will only upgrade Ubuntu from a fresh install from now on. The last time I attempted to upgrade from one major version to the next my machine was basically hosed. If something is going to totally mess up my computer, it's going to be me doing it with full intention!
Hmmm, from what I read about "Golden Shield"/"The Great Firewall"; they cannot (or maybe just don't) block HTTPS and other secure connections (VPN, etc). I'm in the middle of making a page that provides all the necessary tools to bypass such filtering as an HTTPS since most of the suppliers of these programs are blocked (the exception being "Tor").
I would love to learn more about what can and cannot be filtered before I spend too much more time on this project:)
Not only that, but I've met Chinese software developers that had not even heard of Wikipedia. I don't know how many times I've used it to find resources on a language, technology, or methodology related to software dev. Pretty damn sad.
You saying the myspace doesn't make enough money from the ads it displays to cover their costs? Not that I enjoy anything about myspace, but I don't think all of their revenue is from investors anymore. Just a guess.
Why is it that the idea of things occurring at specific numbers on the clock is more important than what those numbers actually mean?
And what do they mean? A day isn't 24 hours long; it's slightly less.
Get Cedega! I haven't used it myself, but it sounds like a much better alternative to Wine if you're just looking for gaming. Last I saw it was a $15 subscription, but if you cancel the subscription the software still works, you just don't get any upgrades. $15 per year (or two if you don't have any bugs that need to be fixed) isn't too steep for most gamers. Oh yea, and people have reported the running the same game, with the same hard ware that their games were not only faster than under XP, but they were also able to run at a full resolution higher!!!
It was just RIAA which was refusing to accept the money
ARE THEY RETARDED!?
YES! It wasn't obvious years ago?

We also prefer encapsulation.

So the gift was not thoughtless at all.

...reminds me of senior citizens who think computers are magical satanic apocalypse-engines.
But... but..
..that's why I use computers.

Easy, use CG characters.
Which makes one wonder - what would I ever need a web server the size of a business card?
You may not need one, but I could see this being useful for anything you may want to launch into space with a GUI.

Does that make me an Anti-Grammar Nazi?

China, so far, has not blocked any addresses starting with https

ISO is dead.
Any geeks here going to trust them again?
