I think they got their design inspiration from an old table saw... I don't think it would be comfortable to keep a full sized spinning CD in your pocket also it would almost inevitably get bumped and damaged with playing with carrying.
I like the concept, but, umm without the cover to protect the spinning CD (or you from it) that just seems like a HUGE design flaw.
Also the Apple remote is neat and really pays into the popularity of the Wii-mote for interaction? So you think Sony would really place people into that mind set?
Also, because of what they made it out of, if there's ever a problem with the beer Bender can smoke too! Is that a tap in the front for the beer? Cuz if it is it's placement is very... poor...
Not possible:gravity on the surface wouldn't depend on the mass
but on the radius of the object. Worse the law of gravitation would be in
r not in 1/r^2.
But all of the observations are made based on the assumption that you're falling not that you are going to meet the ground in the middle. The tools used to measure would be expanding too so your calculations, although right for your perception, would be wrong to "reality" of the situation. Which is why reality is based of perception not the other way around. If you believe strong enough in something that it is fundamentally true to you it's called faith not science. However, we place faith in science because we where told that these calculations/experiments prove reality in the perception of the scientist.
However, this debate becomes circular and worthless. It's hard to prove/disprove someone's own delusions of the reality they have faith in. You may be able to give them proof of YOUR reality, but has their perception of reality really changed?
is like trying to prove that there is no gravity, everything just continually expands at the same rate until they collide. You can't provide outside neutral observation, anything you try to observe it with will be part of the experiment. This isn't Physics it's philosophy. Sorry sir, but your cat is dead.
It's more of someone who sits on the line of Gaming and being a parent. Yes it's biased but you also get parental input/insight. Such as the example in the summary, that's a parents concern not a gamers need for correctness on the title of a game.
Wait... are you asking for ShadowRun using d20 rules as their back or a d20 Modern computer game? Cuz if you where askin for the first chummer, I'd have to hurt you... And I roll 6's so I'd do it with style...
This is the reason that I leave a company after it gets TOO Large. When you have that many layers to get anything done at the low levels you know that very little is done at the top. It turns into a game of "Well, I submitted the request for your new laptop. Must be tied up in red tape" and that's not worth anyones time except the people who lose money by having a budget that includes unexpected laptop costs that quarter.
Technology is continually changing. Those who adapt will be the most successful.
And one of these days someone will teach this lesson to the RIAA right? Or is it that when things work a certain way and do so correctly (Like an AS400 Machine) they are reluctant to change and disrupt production.
I don't like the idea of the computer monitor that can not only see you, but RECOGNIZE you! Say goodbye to any real anonymity when you computer monitor can see you...and what you're doing. I could see that as a sticky area for privacy advocates..
Also I don't want to lose the joke of "watching someone though their monitor"...
This is why we need "common" as a language choice! Go ahead and keep your individual languages (English, French, Goblin) but also have a "Common" language for all people. Like in Firefly everyone spoke a little English and a little Chinese to create a language of the people...
I fear that it would create more and bloodier Wars than ever before though.
A lot of towns actually support the use of giving Heroine addicts an "OD Kit" with the drop that stops the receptors for Heroine and stops an OD since many OD victims don't call 911 or seek treatment because of the legality of the substance. If these are along the same lines and uses I could see this as a benefit.
All we need is for one of the big fish to declare bankrupcy, the and rest will see that and stop their litigous ways
No, they'll all claim "ZOMG!!! T3h Pirates!!!" and sue more than ever since they would have to get money from somewhere. Part of me thinks this is a good thing to help them "get the memo" but they still won't put covers on their TPS Reports...
Besides, Most of these companies are big media and have more than just the record section correct? Warner, Sony, ETC.?
Could these be first signs of another failing "industry"?
It's signs of an evil company, not a failing industry. When the industry as a whole fights new innovation with lawsuits against individuals rather than adapt THEN it would be a failing industry.
In fact, I feel much better... I think I'll go for a walk now...
As long as there is a PEBKAC there will be a need for IT and I don't believe the users will get any better anytime soon...
Just my $0.02

Then again, robots don't like anthropomorphism...

So Silverlight WON'T run on Linux, But a different software package called moonlight developed by Novell will run Silverlight applications...
Yes, but will it run on Linux?
