ZERO terrorist attacks in the last couple of years would this measure have prevented?
Using that logic... I've got a magic stone here that keeps Tasmanian Tigers away... I mean, I've carried it for years and not a single Tasmanian Tiger has crossed my path so of course it works!
Lion Head did a pretty good job in Black and White 2 balancing evil with good. It's pretty easy to be neutral unless you're a completely pacifistic or a war lord/dick.
The integration between a PS3 and a PSP (both abilities available at launch and things that have been talked about coming around int he future)
I'd rather Nintendo focus on the core of making fun games/consoles then come in later with added functions rather than rush an idea a competitor has and kind of half ass it... Not naming names *cough* SIX-AXIS! *cough* Just what I prefer from a company.
What about adult who suffer from Night Terrors? They still have very vivid and terrifying nightmares. Are they just preparing for more of the worst and therefore shouldn't take their medications?
Thanks Darwin! After the strong completely control the weak we'll call you for more insight...
It's our place as the strong to protect the weak, even from themselves. If that means really obvious to us laws to keep the lemmings from running off the cliff than so be it. I dislike rule for protecting people who SHOULD know better, but, how else (aside from elimination from society) should this be handled. You can't cure stupid and they are going to be a drain on the society as a whole without some directions and protections.
All this awesome art of the 80's and early 90's will finally be public domain
That's my problem with this idea. If it's 5 years after artist death, that's one thing; if it's 5 years across the board from date of creation that's another. Some artists live off of a hit single from 10-20 years back. Also, it gives them incentive to NOT make their best works at the beginning, but to hold out as long as they can to make sure they don't lose the protections for their art at the peek of their popularity.
I don't agree with how they're using their protection now, it's not protecting the artist at all. But, if you make it 5 years from the creation of the song they know they'll lose protection after they stop being relevant (for most) and their hard work will become worthless to them.
I thought it was an article about John Draper (a.k.a Captain Crunch) Then again he used a whistle and didn't just put his lips together and blow... It's sad to hear about it though...
I doubt I'd have any trouble with either. But then, my boss knows that I'm doing an English Language degree in my own time for fun, and knows to check things like that:-)
Lucky! I was constrained in my vocabulary to eight character words while in the office... I told my boss I didn't want to be that esoteric...
I think it does, but it means something else too, which seems to be more on the minds of slashdotters.
Sure it means something other that the assumed! But, go into your boss and say you need more storage because of an ejaculation on the disks and see what they say...
While you're at it try to use "niggardly" in a sentence...
Does this count the donation that they made in Jack Thomson's name when he welshed on donating a large sum for making a violent video game to his specifications... Or was that last year?
they just thought selling some videos at terms dictated by the studios might get them some cash. If they ran their retail stores that way, those would fail too, but they put serious effort into their retail stores.
Actually, I can't find the source off hand but I've heard that WalMart has quite a bit of sway with their suppliers and can dictate to them how much they want things to cost or even packaging. So, what you're saying is that they ran this download store the complete OPPOSITE as their retail stores and it failed.
When the download becomes the same cost as buying/shipping physical media I think most Wal*Marx shoppers would rather have the physical media. Knowing a lot of people who WILLFULLY shop at their "super centers" and also Not so willfully work there, they are generally not the most technically inclined.
HP Dropping support sounds like a cop out... but a believable one
I can't really play shadowrun without thinking of a blade runner type setting for the campaign. Sometimes we would have the movie on in the background to kind of help keep us in the setting for the game.
that's 36% with LIMEWIRE! There are other P2P software that isn't bittorrent also, is this based on all documented computers and did the limewire software report back home or did users say that they have it installed?
There are laws against importing bootlegs. So, even though they can ignore the laws to create bootleg copies we're not allowed to ignore them for import or download. Then again IANAL, but that's probably how it will be ruled.
I stand corrected, I may have to give it a try sometime again. A buddy of mine was addicted in college and recommended it, but, the subscription aspect turned me off to the idea. I may just have to play on Doubloon Ocean once in a while to see what it's all about. Thanks!
I haven't played any of the others but puzzlepirates.com has certainly eaten up a lot of my free time.
Doesn't (didn't) puzzle pirates have a monthly subscription? That would therefore bring it out of the running for free web games. It's like saying GuildWars is a good free time waster because it DOESN'T have subscriptions, but you still have to buy an account...
I think you where using the wrong meaning of the word free... We where looking for free as in beer.
yes... But... Is it safe? Is it safe...? is it safe...?

Wait sir! I wasn't violating her... I was giving her in injection of nanobots!
There is a place in hell... just for the people who comment on this...

But what about us CDMA users?
I don't think we sleep well because we're mostly on Verizon...
It's a space station!

HE keeps using that word... I don't think it means what he thinks it does...

Rule of thumb... Isn't that the rule that says a man can beat his wife with a stick as long as it's no thicker than his thumb?
