We are one people and its about time we started acting like it.

I whole-heartedly agree with this statement and the leaps and bounds we as a human race would take working WITH each other instead of AGAINST each other would be amazingly huge. Alas, we cannot seem to manage to break ourselves from the ridiculous desire of always trying to be richer and more powerful than the next guy.

... but how exactly is it that 2 planetary bodies can collide, and "merge" into one larger planetary body? Wouldn't the collision obliterate both planets?

When installing, make sure the install directory does NOT say "Beta 4" or "Beta 5" after it. I believe the actual release should just read Firefox 3. All the above linked addresses do are forward you to mirrors which MAY or MAY NOT have the correct install on them.

I agree. However, it's a shame that this crack of the DRM is coming so close to the end of the format war and the exchange offers most stores are supporting. The numbers of people that are going to buy BR players because of the fair use now are only going to get lost in the shuffle now.

  6. Re:It was a good run... on Mars Probe Probably Lost Forever · · Score: 1

If I recall, both the mars landers were designed so that new software could be uploaded to them so NASA could add more advanced functionality to both the landers, thus improving their usefulness, not to mention allowing their roles to change as needed. So long as the scientists here could figure out a new way of using the equipment on board both landers in a new and unique way, they could update the landers on the fly. (As on the fly you can get anyway with the things being on another planet.)

You gotta admit though, if there is intelligent life on other planets, and they're listening in on our conversations with our space hardware, one of these days they might one day take control of our own equipment. If that's not actually what happened here already? (Albeit unlikely).

... just wait until Duke Nukem Forever is released!

I heard rumor that the "Forever" in the name of this title stood for how long it's going to be in production. Is that true? :)

I can see the article now:

"A new study has found that internet porn is the first media to show characteristics of unstable elements. The study shows the internet pron has a half-life of approximately 2.65 years. At this rate, Scientists state that internet porn will makeup only .25% of the content of the internet in the year 2015.

Art Newburger, Lead Scientist who discovered this anomaly states, "We're working on a solution. We've talked to the distribution companies and they chalk the cause up to media and bandwidth concerns. We're hoping to develop a new compression scheme to help internet porn to continue to thrive again. I think we're making great progress."

Yes, but how is this any different than the Xbox 360? Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm an advocate for either system. I'm seriously asking the question. Personally, I think the only really innovative system is the Wii. But over the years how much innovation has there really been in the Console market to begin with? For the last 20 years I can remember about console games, the only thing that ever really changed was the graphics.
