Do you understand how the subsidized TV model works?
There are plenty of people who do not watch ESPN, yet they pay the same $3/mo for the channel as you do. Their subscription cost subsidizes yours, and yours subsidizes theirs for channels they watch that you don't. If you could have a la carte cable, you'd be paying $15/mo for ESPN 1, $12 for ESPN 2 and so on, because you wouldn't have everyone else lowering the cost.
This way, we all get a lot of channels for X dollars, instead of cherry picking 15-20 channels and still paying X because of the necessary price increase
Time Warner and Time Warner Cable are 2 separate companies now, so they have no financial gain in terms of owning a cable company and keeping HBO on cable
I'm sure this was in reference to used game stores like Gamestop, who make all of their money from buying used games cheap, and reselling them for high prices.
A large portion of gamers go to gamestop for all of their gaming needs (who knows why). I'm sure gamestop would have a problem selling a system and games that destroy their business model
I don't know where you live, but in the US, Tmobile has a $30/mo unlimited data and text, with 100 minutes. The phone I bought for it is shit, but you can get any T mobile phone and use it on this prepaid package. Its a pretty good deal if you ask me
Burn your shit to a couple Blu-ray disks
I'm more worried about corporate data than personal honestly. Imagine if Microsoft didn't have backups that were solar-proof and lost the source to their OS
Cargo ships actually give off the worst exhaust out of anything. When they're in international waters, they burn the dirtiest, cheapest fuel they can find, since there are no emission standards, only to switch to a cleaner fuel when they come to port to meet local environmental standards
I see why you posted as AC, because your argument sucks. The carbon cycle is a balance, and increasing atmospheric CO2 throws it off terribly. Plants and vegetation are less than 50% of the carbon sinks, the ocean actually takes up more CO2 than plants. CO2 interacts with calcium and is stored in the ocean, however, this reduces the pH (which is slightly basic, now). When the ocean starts to become acidic, this mechanism will shut off, and the ocean will no longer be a sink of CO2, so not only will CO2 concentrations continue to rise, the yearly increase will shoot way up.
No, you're 100% correct. Sulfate aerosols have a cooling effect, since they reflect incoming solar radiation, while having no effect on outgoing infrared radiation. The push to improve air quality standards is actually increasing the effect of global warming.
So, the only evidence for a supreme being, the bible, says one thing, which is contradicted by science, so your response is to accept that contradiction to propose a work around, yet still accept the idea of a 'Supreme Being'?
Just put 2 and 2 together and realize the Bible is a bunch of crap
Whoever modded this insightful is retarded. In no point in recorded history, or in the estimation of past CO2 levels, has the level of CO2 ever been 10 times the current amount.
I take offense to your under 30 comment. I was taking apart my Pentium 233mHz computer before I was 10. If think your problem with the youth is that those who want to use computers no longer have to know how they work to do what they want
Apple had other revenue sources. If netflix decided to play hardball and lost, they'd be back to DVDs only, or would have to test that "Were playing a DVD in our warehouse, and streaming it to you" thing, which I believe is currently illegal
I hate this misconception. As much money as Sony makes, you'd hope they'd be paying for intelligent board members. Sure, 2nd and 3rd sales provide no direct income for Sony, but the ability to resell the games gives them higher value, allowing sony to charge $60 a pop. This is removing value from the product, and the price should drop accordingly...but it won't. Imagine is you couldn't resell your car, without the new buyer having to pay the 'Ford' fee. Normally your $20,000 car sells for $10,000 after a few years, but Ford requires $5,000 to make new keys. Well now you can only feasibly sell your car for $5,000, but Ford still sells them new for $20,000

Cheaper than a $.50 Blu-Ray disk?

Yeah, thats down too, bud
Once you reach capacity, you've reached capacity, you can't go any higher than that
Would you prefer he have quoted Kangaroo Jack?

If I removed one of your ribs, would all of your male descendants be missing a rib?

Sucks to be you. The only time I've paid at a library was to replace my library card, and it cost me $1

Take out credit cards, pay the loans with them, file bankruptcy. Profit?
The man wanted jiggawatts, not gigawatts, but thanks for trying
Seriously? The iPhone 4S has presold better than any iPhone before it
