Informative??? The atmosphere is 21% O2, you think literally 21 parts per hundred, you think adding ~390 parts per million to that value is going to make things "more readily burst into flames"?
In fact, the music industry has been doing just fine on the whole, and was largely unaffected by piracy. The recording industry (aka the RIAA and goons) have been suffering, rightfully so
Thats not the problem. Make games that people want to buy at reasonable prices, and they will buy. If publishers keep pumping out expensive shitware, then yeah, they're going to be a problem.
And if developers are going to be removing features from games I purchase (the right to resell) then the price needs to be dropped dramatically.
Actually, forget it. Preventing resale will just light a fire under the pirate's asses; they'll crack the DRM in no time, and then publishers will have an even bigger problem than gamestop
Bullshit.
The reason why they can sell games at $60 a pop is because they have the value added to them that they can be resold. If I buy a $60 game and sell it to a friend for $30, then a game that cannot be resold is only worth $30
Being able to sell these games adds a ton of value to the game, so if publishers take this ability away, the price needs to DRASTICALLY fall, we're talking $10-15 for a new game
This is why an all-purpose tablet would be great. Put a long-term wireless standard in these appliances, and sync that up to a tablet. 1 smart device for all appliances, that can be used outside of the kitchen, and can be upgraded as tech improves
When android 4.0 is completely obsolete, and so is the hardware in the oven, what are you going to do? No apps will be compatible. This stuff needs to be modular, so you can remove it and upgrade it; the electronics will be outdated loooooong before the oven needs to be replaced
This is so wrong its not even funny. How is automation going to make the Macbook Pro cheaper for the masses? ITS NOT. Apple, like many other companies, decided that manufacturing was too costly in the US, so they moved it overseas where labor costs were next to nothing. If Apple is moving some manufacturing back to the US, and using automation to do it, it must at least be on par with their costs to do business in China. Do you expect Apple to knock $50 off the price of your next computer because of it? They won't. They'll pocket that money. Rich get richer, just like always
And who is going to have to pay for this upgrade?
Lightsquared was shady with their last dealings with the FCC, I wouldn't expect them to be honest this time around.
Assange isn't even wanted for sexual assault or any crime for that matter, he is wanted for questioning. He has time and time again said that he would submit to questioning via video chat, but the Swedish Government has said that is not acceptable
Isn't an international airport considered international land, and thus no jurisdiction has full authority over it? Kinda like the situation in that bad movie 'The Terminal'?
It wouldn't be very useful. The air in the bottle would be representative of only that particular day, in that particular place. For example, if it were bottled by a wood fire stove, it would have much higher concentrations of CO2 than the average mass of air
Let me show you why that statement doesn't make sense
Ironically, a lot of 'gun owners' owners aren't necessarily "cowboy posers", but just people who think that if they ever do get in a 'hostile situation', they'd rather be 'carrying a gun' when it happens. So 'gunless people' are more dangerous because there are so many 'criminals with guns' because so many people are afraid of getting 'shot', thus perpetuating the problem
If you don't need the minutes, get the $30 Monthly 4G plan. 100 mins, unlimited text/4G data. I didn't buy a fancy phone to go with it, but you can. I have skype credit and use that for any calls I have to make past the 100 minute allotment
My alternative doesn't suck. T-Mobile Monthly 4G. $30/mo for 100 minutes, unlimited text, unlimited 4G data (or what they call 4G, anyway). Bring your own phone, and you're good to go
This, except instead of xbmc, I use PLEX on an older mac mini. I find it to be much more polished with a better organization for all of my files than xbmc. Also, I have The Episode Downloader (TED) set up to download new shows when they come out. PLEX has a lot of plug ins so I can use netflix if I want, but mostly I use the plug ins to access Colbert and Stewart. Also with utorrent remote, I can start the download any new movie or show from my phone, and it will download to plex.
Pirate? sure, but even if you're not one for the high seas, its great for organizing your own legal content, and its plug ins provide access to all of the legal streaming services
I'd like to show you Takoma Park, as I live right outside the city limits. Its a rundown shithole, full of immigrants and poor people. This is exactly the kind of city that would pass that law 30 years ago when the town was mostly dumb rednecks, but today, the people that live here aren't the type to get into politics.
Also, about that indian law, could native americans buy alcohol, rightfully claiming they weren't indians? And could actual indians (from india) not buy alcohol?
If you get robbed, and everyone tells you to lock your doors and it wont happen, but you don't do it and continue to get robbed, do you have the right to complain?
I'm positive their math isn't right. Basically, they're telling me that some exclusivity clause in their contracts with the cable companies pays them so much money that it dwarfs what the pirates would pay? Bullshit
lets say, 4 million pirated GoT this season (which seems way too low to me). charge $12/mo for 12 months, thats $576 million they could have potentially brought in. They have other decent shows that will bring in other pirates I'm sure, so that number would be even higher. So, HBO is telling us that the money they make keeping their content exclusive; not the money they make from providing it to cable companies, but the money to keep it solely on TV, is over a half billion dollars?
and if thats the model they choose that will make them the most money, so be it, but they have to stop complaining about piracy.
Cord cutting is only going to continue, so that money will start. I got my first apartment a year back, and decided not to pay for cable, and I haven't missed it. Unless I come into some ungodly large amount of money and free time in the future, I'll never order a cable subscription

Certain instruments degrade and thus can't perform the full duties required by a project any longer
Aww how cute, you think rich people are rich because they're smarter than everyone else. How's 6th grade these days?
How many COD games are there again?

It won't make it past its 2nd iteration
Trayvon isn't on trial, therefore his speech is not being used against him, so miranda rights are pointless

Thats a failure of their business model. If the content creators can't find a way to monetize their creations, then they do not deserve to get paid
