so, regulation is bullying, is this the deduction we are supposed to gleam from this ? and, its bad ?
who is going to keep the corporations in check then ? fairies ? corporations themselves ? alan greenspan, the father of that church has something to say about it :
In Congressional testimony on October 23, 2008, Greenspan acknowledged that he was "partially" wrong in opposing regulation and stated "Those of us who have looked to the self-interest of lending institutions to protect shareholder's equity — myself especially — are in a state of shocked disbelief."[37] Referring to his free-market ideology, Greenspan said: “I have found a flaw. I don’t know how significant or permanent it is. But I have been very distressed by that fact.” Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) then pressed him to clarify his words. “In other words, you found that your view of the world, your ideology, was not right, it was not working,” Waxman said. “Absolutely, precisely,” Greenspan replied. “You know, that’s precisely the reason I was shocked, because I have been going for 40 years or more with very considerable evidence that it was working exceptionally well.”[65] Greenspan admitted fault[66] in opposing regulation of derivatives and acknowledged that financial institutions didn't protect shareholders and investments as well as he expected.
also, the article misses, but this is one of the sentences he spent during the testimony : "I cant understand why corporations didnt regulate themselves"
so, timothy, are you still selling that 'regulation bully' shit to us, despite the father of that church repented himself ? or have i mistaken the tone there ?
in a dense forest, there would be 'geographical, never changing', hundreds of years of old or huge trees. and also, in a dense forest, there would still be landscape, rocks or hills or valleys.
thats what private interests and their whore fox news and gop cronies want you to believe. 1 million houses in risk in a particular country can NOT bring down entire world economy. even china builds 1 million houses every month. its not about houses or mortgages. its about something else. ill explain with a post i made in a forum:
greenspan CREATED the crisis.
housing thing is not a crisis. the hedge fund swap scam that is done by wall street is.
and greenspan is one of the shitfaces that prepared the ground for it by preventing regulation in finance.
you people are talking about the mortgage incentives, and believing that because they allowed poor to mortgage houses and end up getting reposessed, crisis started. YOU ARE WRONG. AND YOU DONT KNOW THE SHIT YOU ARE LIVING THROUGH.
mortgages didnt lead to crisis. it was the HEDGE FUND SCAM that lead to the crisis. observe the below mathematics to see why the fuck mortgages cant lead ENTIRE WORLD to come crashing down :
lets say a bank bought a house at its peak at an overinflated price of $500,000 and mortgaged it to someone.
and lets say, the house dropped to $300,000 in value after the crisis. that makes $200,000 loss a house, IF we exaggerate and say that each house that was mortgaged was bought at peak, and went down to bottom after crisis.
now,
it was said that 1 million americans risked losing their homes.
im going to exaggerate this, and say, not 1 million americans risk losing their homes (not 1 million comprising of fathers, mothers, kids, extended families, ie entire population), but 1 million houses are at the risk of being lost. as if every house was owned by a single person.
im going to FURTHER exaggerate it, and say not 1, but 3 times the houses are at the risk of being lost. which makes 3 million houses.
now lets see. if 3 million is the amount of risked, losing mortgages, what could be the entire loss of the industry ?
3 mil x $200,000 = $600 BILLION.
so, we take all the industry as having lost 600 billion. gone. water vapor. dust. no more. 600 billion dollars in the bin.
lets see now :
united states of america government provided 720 billion dollars in bailouts already.
europe, japan, switzerland combined, provided close to 1 billion dollars in bailouts already.
america further guaranteed providing up to 1 billion.
that makes 2 billion $ provided in bailouts in total.
THAT MAKES 3 TIMES THE LOSSES, WHICH I EXAGGERATED MORE THAN 3 TIMES.
therefore, entire world has provided NINE TIMES the entire money was lost already. and in addition, the houses are still there, and will eventually regain some of their value. its not like they burned down or vanished into an alternate dimension.
then why the fuck are we STILL in crisis ?
BECAUSE IT ISNT ABOUT MORTGAGES.
IT IS ABOUT THE HEDGE FUND SCAM THAT WAS PERPETRATED BY WALL STREET, BECAUSE NOONE WAS WATCHING WHAT THEY WERE DOING.
basically, because they have scammed their assets to SIXTY times their value, and then proceeded onto lending TEN times that, lending out in total of SIX HUNDRED TIMES the money they had into borrowers, ENTIRE World was not able to provide SIX HUNDRED times the bailout they have made. these toxic assets infiltrated everywhere, and they cant be get out. so, anyone who has x amount of wealth cannot be sure that they actually do have x amount of wealth or not. you cant know who has what amount of money.
imagine.
2 billion x 600 the money needed in order to back the loans wall street made. noone has that kind of money.
this is why we are in crisis. precisely because of deregulation, precisely because noone went in and said "HEY, you are showing this asset again to me, and inflating it even 60x its value, and then asking me to allow you to lend other people money over this ? fuck
yes, and it still is 235 km if you go in a straight line. it would constitue a small dukedom in middle ages at most. in modern age, it would only be a setting large enough for a mid size sherlock holmes adventure.
yea i have lived outside of my own city, and i traveled a lot, and my country has a lot of distinctive features in every mile you go. however, despite i have passed from the same roads by bus maybe 100 times, i dont remember most of them.
if i was a traveler traveling alone by horse in anywhere, including american midwest, i wouldnt be taking my directions from random bushes and trying to remember them, but watching for never changing landmark geographical features.
these posts as such are being made in order to derail discussions. just observe how long the bullshit went on for pages after you started responding to this troll post. its premeditated, planned trolling. do NOT respond to such trolls that post in the first posts of a discussion.
immersion in fallout 3 ? you encounter some town, you walk 1000 meters, you encounter a whole bunch of super mutants with miniguns, who are enemies of the town you saw before. one would think that if they fired their miniguns from 1 km, they would obliterate the town they are the enemies of, but it doesnt happen that way, for some reason.
entire factions, technologies, resources are placed in some few km2 areas. THAT breaks the immersion.
in addition, had you been doing this thing in real life, you WOULD be actually using a map.
That immersion is broken a bit by how many people you end up running into. The towns and farms have an appropriate number of NPCs wandering about, but the number of bad guys you run into during your travels must outnumber the normal folks 10:1. As you ride around the wilderness on your horse, you frequently come across other travelers, or NPCs that need help (or want to kill you), and it makes the game world seem much more populated than it could ever be in reality. It's a gameplay conceit, and I can't really fault them for it; a game world with a truly appropriate number of people would either be infeasibly huge (think Daggerfall) or so barren that you have almost nothing to do.
why not just generic terrain thats dynamically created, and make an encounter system, and just make a huge, real world size map which will work with coordinates ? remember how fallout and fallout 2 handled it ? a huge, real life size map, with real life size travel speed, on which you could have encounters. you can generically create the encounter environment and the environment can be limited, therefore maintaining the memory and resource constraints. and this still would maintain the immersion. after all, in real life, you do not remember every bush you pass by while traveling a 1000 mile road, do you ? nor you even care.
what about the efficiency gains due to decreased stress levels of employees ? something that affects everything ranging from reducing in-office quarrels to better communication ?
why there are bullies in school, who are let to bully in the first place ? do we just let anyone beat up anyone that freely in adult life ? why arent there laws to prevent the same thing in the schoolyard ? because they are children, their actions do not have consequences ?
isnt the patent thing way past the point it should be abolished ? we were dreading the basic logic concepts being patented, but it seems these people already found ways to even circumvent such stuff, and created fiefs with 'pools' instead.
this is ridiculous beyond this point.

however, from what the lost-obsessed people told me, i understand the material is ripped off from a lot of esoteric and spiritual resources, including the ra material. i'd rather have original than meshed up shit that passes, for some godforsaken reason, entirely in an island. great way to cut the set costs btw.
it should be 'medieval' or 'brain dead'. as an example, observe the below post how a registered poster unhesitatingly describes the founder of his nation being sidelined in text books as 'facts returning to textbooks':
The entire education system in U.S. has a very left bias. Our kids are being indoctrinated, not taught. This is good because these textbooks return facts to the books. The left wing bias of most posters here is disconcerting. You all post as if your minority view is the correct one. America is a Center-Right Country. Always has been. Our kids need to be taught facts, not leftist ideology and indoctrinated with lies and bias. So, any movement to put facts into textbooks is a good one.
by bringing Eu regulations and laws into the matter ? If you take that to Eu, if basic privacy rights of individuals are violated in lieu of Eu rules, sweden would get heavily battered in European courts.
in old times, local tvs were limited by the power of their antennas, their syndication deals, and government licenses.
now internet gives them the possibility to broadcast to ENTIRE world. no limitations.
unless telcos kill network neutrality, and bring an environment in which local broadcasters would be forced to make syndication deals with isps, this will be the big break of local televisions.
imagine. one video goes viral and you are on top of the world in just a few hours. keep quality content up, and youll get subscribers in no time.
banish those people who seek to monopolize and control your lives. banish patent trolls, their ceos, their supporters from your life, from your contracts, your websites, your posts, everything. cast them out.
they get bolder and bolder as we treat them equally like decent people, and start to increase their grip on our lives for their own personal profit.

235 km2 is still too small, despite the idea sounds good.
havent these same people used the same word for preventing regulations into wall street ?
what happened after that ? or was it a parallel reality ?
yeah, over 1000 miles distance ?
flamebait ...
Some objects, bushes included,
youre talking about TYPES of bushes. whereas im talking about a SINGLE, PARTICULAR bush.

youve got to be kidding me. did medieval feudalism stifle economic activity ?

that's not so easy to calculate is it.

are you aware that local stations already have to produce content in the quality level of viral videos in order to maintain any kind of existence ?
