This isn't some company trying to cash in on and old IP (like Leisure Suit Larry Magna Cum Laude) this is a labor of love for people who just want to bring the game back to new audiences and trudge up some nostalgia for us old people who loved the Sierra quest series games.
Nah, in New Jersey you don't really care about the record once you make chief. At that point you've got at most 3 years before retirement and a permanent paid vacation.
I can learn a lot more spending 3 hours a day on wikipedia and reading one non-fiction from the public library a week, especially where concerns Social Studies/Humanities.
Many jobs would be better served with an apprentice system over 4 years (or more) of college. Broadcasting, automotive, hell even law. Others would do better with 2 years of class study followed by on-the-job training (Nursing, IT, Education) and yet others shouldn't have any god damn college requirements at all (Secretary, Human Resources, Social Work).
In my state, New Jersey, with the money we spend on our education system and our incentives to get teachers their free Masters degrees they should all be graduating at 18 with an Associate's anyway.
I guarantee it costs a lot more for those lawyers to 'draft up a C&D' (despite them probably being rather generic templates with form fields) then it does to hire on one of your volunteer guides or promote a CSR guy to working with the mod community for a whopping 30k/year
The problem espoused by the xkcd comic isn't that said senator has silly beliefs, but that he chooses to put those beliefs to law rather than pursue the interests of his state; which is his job.
Why doesn't your country take up the mantle of world leadership then? We only picked it up because England dropped it and we weren't about to let a dictator like Stalin take it.
Do you happen to know what the scientific opinion of one in the NJ/NY area is? I know there was a big one 100 years to the day before my birthday on August 10, 1884
You are confusing poor and poverty limit as being the same.
All people living under the poverty limit are poor.
Not all poor people are living under the poverty limit.
The poverty line for a single person household is a whopping 10,000 dollars.
Try living between 10 and 30 in a coastal state and say you're not poor.
Also in NJ (I just had a ticket here) points are not neccessarily automatic. The prosecutor can recommend no points as part of a plea deal. I just paid 50 bucks and no points for a $200 2 point ticket (I did a rolling stop)
Don't you love how taxpayer money is constantly wasted in court battles over stupid laws bound to be struck down just so some politican can say they are thinking of the children?
I watch COPS with my brother all the time (he is a cop) and we find a lot stuff the cops on TV are just doing that is so inappropriate. Mostly though it's an uneducated public that doesn't know to STFU if a cop is asking you questions and you done something illegal.

I suppose if you want to inspire mass boycotts of your product and strikes by SAG who'll refuse to work on shows sponsored by you.

Alan Moore is also a psychotic hermit.
I didn't rtfa, but uh, how do you determine the value in bytes of one piece of knowledge?

Russia is no longer in Europe? I know it has a whole lot of Asia, but was still under the impression that the important bits were Europe.
In ye olden days, families were expected to take care of their own elderly and disabled, not everyone else's along with their own.
You clearly don't live in New Jersey.
http://www.ncianet.org/publicpolicy/publications/SexOffendersReportJan2006.pdf and here is the evidence.
Completely unwatchable, even WITH rifftrax.
I'm a customer of the college. As long as I'm not bothering the other students and passing the course, leave me the fuck alone.

At least those can be remarketed and sold in sex shops.
Family doctor =/= trained child psychologist

Sorry Blood and Kidney pie and other fine British delicacies were not included on the Denny's menu
Shame they haven't just bought the old Bell Labs campus. Jersey could certainly use those jobs.

She can become a shock jock, they can pull all kinds of stupid (awesome) shit and still get rehired later.
