Nice to see the good ol' KDE gear at/. after all the stuff happening in the GNOME world of late:-)
I use both KDE and GNOME, switching between the two as my default on-and-off, but KDE has always been my favorite.... (GNOME looks better though, but KDE2 seems to be catching.) Having the choice is a great thing though...
Kdevelop looks like it will REALLY help the KDE cause though, with apps being easier to write. Once again, KDE has the edge on GNOME...
Anyway, this is my $0.02, so I'm gonna put on the flame suit and brace myself:-)
Actully, the CD's in Australia has dropped alot in the last 12 months, with the opening for stores to import CD's. Now we can get most CD's at around $20.
Of course, before this legislation was passed, the Australian music industry said the price would rise (lies), and now, they say the import CD's music quaility is lower (again, lies). And they say that piracy would increase (lies AGAIN, 3 out of 3:).
Anyway, CD's are around $20 in Australia, not $30 anymore (even the "offical" Australian CD's price has dropped to about $25).
But then, I just order online because it's cheaper (and we don't have cool stuff like the Neon Genesis Evangelion soundtracks in stores, but that's another story:)
Now all we need is this woeful (and completly uninforced, all my porn sites still work;) internet laws gone....
(BTW, I hate the abbrivation OZ, and Down Under.... you Yanks:)

Thanks Cowboy Neal for finally posting about a Geeks in Space update (even though it was a "point release":)
Hopefully now you can ALWAYS post about Geeks in Space updates, so I don't need to squint at that little box on the side.....

*And your point? BeOS is their competition and even more proprietary than Apple.
In what way? Actully, BeOS makes use of many GNU tools.
*Be would have laughed their asses off if Apple asked for help porting MacOS onto Be hardware.
Actully, Apple used to give Be all the specifications they needed, long before they had planned on buying them. The only reason Apple stopped suppling information was due to the fact that Be was a superior OS to their newly purchased NextStep, and Apple decided to choke the BeOS by cutting off the info....
Be jumped ship:)
Apple not buying Be was, and still is a good thing. A fair portion of Be's employees are "Apple refugees" and most didn't want to go back into it. The halt of G3/4 information was done to kill an OS that Apple cound not complete with.
Since the move to Intel, BeOS has enjoyed a superior platform (the x86 may be a little bit slower processor wise, but system wide x86 is faster, but that another story/argument) and full support from Intel.
So, people percive Be as having lost Apple. That is wrong. Apple have lost Be, and their poor hardware is the worst for it. Enjoy MacOS 9:)

This "script kiddie" has stuffed a story. A time where most people are sleeping, no-one around to moderate. Fortunatly it hasn't happened on a big story, like "2.2.4 released":)
At least this shows a hole in the system, that could probably be simply repaired with a "delete if same thing posted 100's of times script" in Slash. There's something to do, Cmdr.
