Duh, dont you/.'ers know?
its Linux, once its installed and config'd you dont touch it and it just works.
so HP supporting linux will be easy, soon as the client installs other software and it doesnt "work" its not HPs fault because it it not a product they are supporting.
Although L1 support will still prolly not know anything, but thats okay because they have to filter out all the non-OS related issues.
and why do i have the feeling that the callcenter will be in india and run on MS only products (except for maybe the PBX)
Dont you know, anything you do on the net will haunt you for ever!
seriously, look at that guy that signed up for aol, 8 months after death and he still couldnt cancle.
"Bad idea, 'cause life moves things up."
what goes up must come down?... but seriously...
What life are you living, the only thing that goes up for me is taxes and bills.
Apple is competitive on price-- the low-end just doesn't go as low. So Dell sells a $300 desktop, and Apple doesn't compete in that market. But you can't compete with Dell in that market, either, because they sell high-quality cheap crap in massive quantities, and they get as good prices as anyone. The only way to get a computer out the door for less than Dell is to sell low-quality cheap crap, and you'll probably still need to take some losses. The profit margins on those $250 Dells are just miniscule, and you can't under-cut that very much. So if you're waiting for a $100 Mac mini, you'll be waiting for a while.
Dood, i was looking at the pics... because you are using 4 cards, your system doesnt need ram or a second processor to run! check out the e3 pic! http://www.hothardware.com/articleimages/item772/b ig_nvidia_7.jpg
Look Ma No ram.... then again i didnt see a power/keyboard/mouse cable.... maybe its a new wireless mac board?
flamebait......
So would a killerNic "killer" be a nic with firewire it in instead of usb 2.0?
some one please tell me why i cannot just run a linux box as a router to my normal nic and get the same perf. gains.
also, even if this card had a sub $100 price tag would anyone buy this?
and i quote... "- The new target is at full blown applications. Think of something like iTunes. An application running on your computer that communicates extensively with online services. think of the DRM.... always a live connection.... all we need is a 0day splo1t. maybe this combind with bittorrent = a (not so-)cool worm that can update via torrent.

okay okay......
for the longest time nerds were outcasted when the net first started.
myspace is a way for the rest of the non-tech-savvy people to catch up.
when geocities.com first started in the mid-90's, every tech/geek/nerd/etc had a webpage that looked not as high quality but just and loud and annoying as the my space profiles these "teens" create.
the world has caught up, and now they are making webpages.... with limited knowledge.
todays myspace.com pages is like yesterdays geocities pages.....
myspace = animated hell
geocites = over use of the blink tag and who the fark though it would be cool to have lime green text over a bgimage that looks like a bad shirt from the 70's.
basically i am saying.. the rest of the world is adopting the internet. they arent as tech savvy so they use myspace because its easy... half of them just copy and paste code, dont tell me you havent done that ever. dont get me wrong i am not trying to say it is right to have a bad webpage/profile/blog/whatever, but i am saying it is a trend like neon hot pants in the 80's. its big bold and ugly, but give it time and people will realize that jerry curl(read: myspace profile) isnt cool anymore.
also if you give them BS now some might stray forever away from the net.
it is a hack, he modded the car jack thingy.... well its more like stripping a few cables and a little wire twisting then tape.
hardware mod = hardware hack
software mod =/. 'hack'
go troll elsewhere.... I must be new here.
HE is right it is for the people, the people with money who can rig elections with their buddys diebold machines..... did you see that story before this post?
what about the whole halliburton (spelled wrong?) deal, what about going to Iraq for democracy after we couldnt find and wmd's, which we later found, in the sand rotting; not in a bunker ready to be deployed. i for one think when the approval rating of bush dropped below 50% of the country he should have been drop kicked out of the white house, that would be for the people, by the people.
all I have to say is MALIBU,CA is way more idiotic.
you pour your foundation on sand surrounded by sand/muddy/rocky mountains that have tons of dry brush that holds the rocks and dirt above you in place.
one good fire burns the once lush brush, therefore burning whats holding the place together and then you get ashy mud slides of houses and mud.
long story short.....
why are you going to repair your house there and complain that your house was distroyed. its asking for it to be distroyed. dont get me wrong it sucks.... i would hate to have my crap burn and muddied but thats how it goes if you make the choice to build here, people still do to this day. its a beautiful area, but i wouldnt want to live there.
americans have the problem on not looking to the future but living in the now.
if you disagree, then why did bush cut education so many times, why is there no Social Security let alone social services, and why are we letting him take away our freedom. why, because it doesnt affect/effect us now, 10-20 years we'll see his rath..... now i am just rambling.

its like a man on a soapbox with a megaphone, he is yelling somesort of information like "the world is going to terminate, DHCPDISCOVER my dhcp server and you wont goto/dev/null" .... no wait heres a better one.....
lets say your neighbor is having a party.... its 2:00 am and your up...*ahem*.. coding.....
you can hear their music through your walls right?.... (so its not like the RIAA is coming over to sue you for sharing music.)
but, that music is the signal that there is a house party, and if you werent invited (and you are cool) you would crash said party would you not?
it doesnt make it right, but if something is free someone will take it.
now the law states that, unless wep or some other encryption is in use it is an open broadcast and anyone with the equipment can join/listen.
but if the encryption is in place then you cannot legally break in.
the market doesnt need 8 cores but it would be hella cool, plus i can only relate this to the IBM saying that we would only need 4kb and one pc for the world. Another personal favorite is NTFS or new technology file system, that sh*t hasnt been new in.... ever.
All i know is, p2p is legal and they have 1.2 gbs up... you cant beat that with a stick.
we cant even get FTTP in San Fran where its offered
when it does come to america please invest in cisco.......

whats happened to cpan, cut and paste and modules?
I should have figured this but.....
Thats what took them so long to release dev tools... they just needed to figure out how to price it.

the problem with games is the continue where are you ability. when that went away with the 80s and early 90s thats when games got boring IMO.
when i read ..."native applications can be created with full access to all machine resources"
