... get the crappy mac, and use it for a while and you'll realize why Windows sucks. Or, perhaps deal with Linux. I love my linux box primarily because even though I bought it in 2000 (compac presario monitor + tower, p3 clocked at 933mgh, 128SD ram 2 optical drives came up to $1,500 btw THANK YOU VERY MUCH) but I can't sell it because its the only comp I have out side of the 1,200 G5 imac (single core 2ghz) I got in 2005 that I SHARE with my family. If my PC breaks, its ok, if the FAMILY comp breaks, I have to fix it or (if its hardware) pay for it. I couln't afford to deal with Windows or Linux with 3 other users in the house all of which can't tell the difference between Tiger and Leopard minus Stacks and Transparent Menu Bar. I summerise by saying that in ONE year, I was down to ONE optical drive because the second one failed and would Freeze the computer once it got too hot (linux didn't care). Vista Proves that there can always be another ME like release, Snow Leopard proves that Apple is working against that. Vista was like economic "Shock Treatment" of Peru, the developers won't like it but system will be better for it in the end. I still don't see, however, an end to the developer inertia of the Windows developer community. Actually, I don't see that changing because of the smaller user base of Mac OS. It is a more selective market, higher selection leads to more optimized solutions as evolution teaches us.
then they keep conflating the definition of freeware and open source. Freeware is not open source simply by its exclusion from the definitioni of open source. Open Source would be more trustworthy than freeware sense you can see the code and notice when they put the line that makes a back door to all the machines its running on so they can remote in and steel you data. (one of my work places had a bad experience with a spam filter that was sending email addresses back to the vender)
there is not only this but the fact that when the polin cross breads with primary cultivars or wild variants, they will be HELL to kill. I believe farm variety (artificially selected) have already crossed with wild inadvertently and those are already giving people trouble. (farmers and gardeners alike)
I think this was a leak like some campaign and whitehouse leaks are. It's possible that they unofficially released this on purpose to gauge the public response. This, as aposed to being an Apple leak which is simply a ploy to plug leaks. Then finally there are leaks which, like predictions and interpretations of Lost, are simply guesses that they got right because when enough people are guessing about the same thing, someone statistically has to get it right. (like the iPhone) I still call BS on the people STILL saying there will be an Apple netbook, THERE ALREADY WAS ONE, it was the Macbook Air, GET OVER IT!
ok, got a little off topic there sorry, venting.
I dissagree with their giving the taskbar innovations to windows 7. the jumplists are app spesific and so are the Dock Icon of your app is completely customizable by the designer. See the API here You MAY need an apple developer ID but I'm not sure.
Macbooks are essentially the same hardware as Windows machines
BUT THEIR NOT!!! the adaptive charge chipset on the macbooks is't burning the battery by stupidly charging untill full all the time, its like striped raid instead of just filling up the disks,
Even john Guber, a mac user, sais, " every time you move your hand from the keyboard to the mouse, god kills a hamster." It might have been someone a different mac programmer . Any way, EVERY IDE, and programmers text editor makes provisions for you to use the mouse as little as possible: from allowing EMACS or VI(M) bindings or just having good keybindings in the first place.
um, the end of the name of that picture (scrot.png) made it look really suspicious. for the rest who looked at the url of that link before clicking, its of a screenshot taken by the scrot cli screenshot program not a pict of some scrotum. FYI
Which is why I call BS, there is something we aren't being told here. They need to itemize that budget. Theres a website for that. gao.gov, I may come back with my findings
the root of the issue is necessity. The point of linux is the definition of what linux is. If you run software on a Linux kernel, its Linux. That's why no one standardizes anything more than that. now if you thought standardizing anything in userspace is necessary, join the LSB, otherwise, stop bellyaching and pick one. If you can't choose, you're thinking about it. My primary example is that somebody has already made chrome for linux.
What excludes this from being a pre-zygotic barrier of a behavioral type? would there ever be a Chihuahua with qualities that a female Mastiff would look for in a mate? We are still assuming female choice right? We could investigate and find out if all the morphological qualities that a female mastiff would look for in a mate are absent in the Chihuahua gene pool but could be bread in. At that point would the generation of Chihuahua ancestry that has the qualities that the Mastiff would want still be considered Chihuahua? This is where the Biological Species Definition brakes down, or gets fuzzy.
Linux isn't the issue here. Its a possibility, after all, Ubuntu may sounds less forigen than Windows or Macintosh. If you use Open Office, Office is not given away anywhere. This is more about a self sufficient Africa. African countries with a technology company can help support an economy, a school can teach students without having to be an accredited University. While they teach students about computers, they can see how the parts fit together, software and Hardware.
I wasn't the one who posted it, its just that there was an earlier post who was also modded troll when I thought it was funny. In the mean time, TODAY I have mod points now but I've already commented so I can't mod this comment (or post)

If you have a MacBook, why dont you just use TextEdit. Its pritty neat and opens both ODT and DOC documents
perhaps you are thinking of this guy who they mention on the wikipedia page on the linux mantainer.
um, Unlike linux companies, they can sink, a butload of cash into Networking R&D and come up with this.
gao.gov sorry

Run of the mill people do not use Linux at all.

I read enough on the Internet to understand most spelling errors.
