    And they're getting exceedingly efficient at it.
    The oversensitive people with too much moderation power that turns any place into a boring pit of an echo chamber, where basically all that is left is the same three allowed subjects and "suicide trolls".
    They have several shapes, several different political stances and positions etc, but the end result is always the same.

  2. Probably the "best" way to fix it is making the alive corals something profitable, like artificially raising the price of something that lives off it tremendously via marketing, de beers style.
    16ms later monsanto would come up with a heat resistant coral and profit off it.

  3. Given the fact everyone knew what game was being played, as in the candidates, the population, the parties..., they all made their strategies and decisions around the electoral college system.
    People decided to go or not go vote based on how important their state was, parties fine tuned the gig around which states they could win and even used supercomputers to optimize the path etc..
    So basically, they all played this game of chess, and you now want to judge it by checkers rules.
    If it was for popular votes, everyone involved would take a different approach and the outcome would be different, maybe with Hillary winning this time or maybe not.

    Well, hate speech is something that is quite up to interpretation and a bit vague, and well, while on the case of breitbart they probably deserve it, it could be abused to remove whatever they want.

    The media in general burned itself to death when they picked a side instead of being impartial.
    Even if they didn't did anything wrong, you burn your credibility down when you say something along the lines of "look, we're here all cheering for hillary, but we promise to deliver the news impartially, k?"

    By your same line of though, half of the american population is ok with massive corruption and cronysm and corrupt corporate cronysts themselves.
    But we know that this is not the truth, don't we?
    In reality, very few people do agree with the points of any of the candidates, and was more of a "choose the form of the destructor" deal rather than "pick someone you like", and they now have this giant trump wrecking NY rather than a giant hillary.

    Most people didn't "voted for hillary" or "voted for trump".
    Was more or "voting to not get hillary in power vs voting to not get trump in power".

    But if you want to sell the truth, you should put truth to sale, otherwise the consumer will catch on to it and won't buy it anymore which is pretty much whats happening.
    The product got bad, people don't want it anymore.

    Yes, indeed.
    But the point is that if dems did voted on the one that public was more in favor of than choosing the female in sake of being the female, they would had won this election.
    This is what happens when you let anything go over actual qualification.

    You ended with a crappy president because you selected the democrat candidate this way, even with it being incredibly corrupt and hated by the general populace.
    Any other candidate that was competing would win against the annoying orange.

    The biggest problem is that it don't work.
    Yes, you can stop someone from saying something on a platform you can control, like facebook.
    But anyone can just go, set up an encrypted IRC server and make a tiny hate box anywhere, and on those, shit gets worse because there's no criticism, no sanity, and you get also censored, but for going against the hate message.
    If you really want to reduce those hate speeches on the internet, you need to fight it with discussion, good arguments.and impartial a trustworthy media.
    You only win if they rationalize and reach the same conclusion as you do.

    The problem here is trying to defeat ideas with censorship. All that will happen is that those loons will move to more private places, where their ideas will go unchallenged.
    If anything, twitter should instead make a sort of "forced right of response", where those detected bad tweets get the best counter response glued to it.
