    This is so sad. It's a symptom of a much greater problem: We are reaping the latest crop that was sown by modern education.
    The little Johnys and Janes are barely literate. Composing even the simplest prose (to answer an email or any other written communication) just takes too long for the average person entering the workforce today.

    Oh, and that Herbert Hoover guy. He was a mining engineer.
    Leopoldo Calvo-Sotelo y Bustelo, 1st Marquis of the Ría of Ribadeo was a Spanish Prime Minister. He had studied civil engineering.
    H. D. Deve Gowda also studied civil engineering and was Prime Minister of India.
    José Sócrates, actually worked as a civil engineer and was Prime Minister of Portugal.
    And let's not forget Pierre Tirard was a civil engineer that became Prime Minister of France in the 19th century.
    I am sure there were a few others. Also, let's not forget those Roman Emperors who dabbled in civil engineering and architecture.

    Clocking down a processor to save power while waiting for something to happen is hardly anything new.
    I am just surprised that smatrphone developers have just learned how to apply this to what they are doing.

    What if an identical algorithm is used but the code is different?
    What if the open source code were reverse engineered with different code?
    What if.....

    Also, what if the ICGA, WCCC, or any other chess found a better way to resolve this. There is a conflict of interest here.

    They were allowed to do this under the rules of the tournament.
    Kasparov blew it twice. He screwed up a move near the beginning and failed to see how he could eventually come to a draw.
