You're right, but I always thought that one was much more elegant than :Exodus 22:25-27:, which basically says the same thing but a little more verbose. :)

But the Romans 13:8 was a good lookup too. Thanks for the reminder.

Dude, my mod points ran out at midnight. That's probably the most intelligent thing I've ever read coming from someone professing to be of a certain religion on Slashdot. Don't Judge, lest ye be Judged. It's too damn bad most people don't have better things to do than stir up shit for other people. I don't fancy myself a practicing "Christian" but I have read the Bible, and I think there are a lot of social ideas that people on the whole need a better grasp on. My Favorite is "Neither a lender nor borrower be."

Really? My wireless controllers stop working when I get out of "line-of-sight" to my 360. It doesn't matter how close it is to the xbox.

I have mine on my desk beside my widescreen monitor that I play it on and if I lower the controller below the desk (like under the roll-out keyboard tray)it loses connection.

Sir, I would mod you up but alas my points have disappeared. It seems a lot of users lack understanding in this area with network security. I currently want to wring a few users necks where I work because they keep using proxies to get around our blocked domains. Then they gripe about stolen passwords and compromised web logins because they simply can't understand that not all proxies are free for the public and some of them are actually excellent fishing tools. I'm just waiting to hear about one of them who uses a proxy and then goes to his online bank site without thinking about it.

  21. Re:Not Exactly on WebOS Market Review · · Score: 1

Okay so I have an idea of an OS that is based of an extremely permissioned web-server (think Apache) and all the applications on it would be standard AJAX, PHP, Perl, etc. All the user/software information could be stored in xml locally. The users desktop would be a customized Firefox browser (basically in Kiosk mode so no tool bars) with the login option that tells the apache server what level access to allow this user. From there the user has a "homepage" tha lists the systemwide menus and applications he has access to.

I've been thinking about this for a few years now, since I started using server-sided scripting on a regular basis. I just think it would make my life a lot easier to do the equivilent of "run" to test code before I post it to the www. Right now I'm using XAMMP(sp?) to sort of simulate this (at least the part where I test code locally) but its just another service running on top of a lot of other stuff I don't need running atm. Most of my work is done on web languages now anyway. This could probably be done with a highly tailored linux distribution on a pretty low-powered machine.

What would you call this model of an OS? All of the apps would be written in web scripting languages, and installing new packages/software applications would be downloading a new script. I would call it a WebOS since its based entirely on web technology, but I would hate to step on anyone's toes by using a "buzzword". Buzzwording is bad, but some of the comments are just way out of line. "Internet" and "web" have been buzzwords for a very long time now and people don't go this ape-shit when a product comes out as being "internet capable" or an "internet game". I see it simply as an apt description of what the product is trying to do. I believe I would define it as buzzwording when they make the product sound overly important by using large words that have nothing to do with the product.

No arguement about Lumines it was a good game.

Untold Legends just could not hold my interest and Like I said was too dark for me to play effectively even with the brightness all the way up.

Haven't Played Legend of Heroes no comment.

I own most of the games on the Capcom Classics library already on various systems including original arcade hardware. So re-buying games I already have just doesn't do much for me.

On the other hand my DS looks like its been through a war-zone (actually it has, I took it to the sand box with me last time I went). Every DS game I've gotten so far has been pretty good and consistant. My occupation tends to put me in positions where I do LOTS of gaming on the go. The PSP is just not a good Portable gaming machine IMO.

BTW, if that really is a picture of Dick's drivethru on your web-page in February, then you are very fortunate. It's been a long time since I've been home in Seattle, and the February sky has always been gray and raining in my memories. But those plain burgers and fries were good. I think they should sell T-Shirts and sell "Jones Cola". The Green Apple was always my favorite.

Got Untold Legends, load times from hell, hard as hell to see and generally just not fun.

Got Metal Gear Acid, it wasn't Metal gear but some weird ass card game.

Got Rengoku boring as hell after 20 minutes of beatin on the same damn robots over and over...

Got Lumines was entertained for a while.

TOOK a long break from PSP software.

Got YS VI Ark of something.... holy crap at the god aweful 10 second load times. COuldn't play it any further when I cross a map in 5 seconds and wait 10 for the next area to load.

Got Generation of Chaos, which would be an okay game if there was a better story and a better explanation of what the hell it all was. I really liked Disgaia I guess I got my hopes up to far.

SO over-all my PSP has yet to have ANY serious gaming done on it. The games for it, just suck. Maybe that should be the PSP slogan.

"PSP, for games that just suck" Oh and watching that free spiderman 2 UMD you got with it when you are really bored.
