I have used locate32 on my Windows XP machine for indexing the local and shared drives.
My shared volumes server runs Linux, so I tried utilizing its locate-database.
Unfortunately I came to the conclusion that locate32 and the Unix/Linux variant of locate are not compatible at all.
However, if you are using a Windows server then you can run locate32 on the server and allow the clients machines to access it.
Taking into account how much force you apply to the consumer product, I would say the legendary TAC-2 joystick for the Commodore 64 is even tougher than the Game Boy!
I remember having similar problems with QuickTime before with my old graphics card: Tseng Labs ET6000. When starting a QuickTime movie with the 16bit version in Windows 3.11/95/98 it would completely BSOD, no matter how many different versions of QuickTime 16bit and Tsenglabs drivers I tried.
Most people in Finland speak Finnish, you know.. But there is a minority with Swedish as mothers tongue, to whom I proudly belong.
Surely you will also get around by only speaking English too. =)
