I would say it's closer to leaving them a voicemail. That's not really the issue though. Would you or I wave to someone in a public place after a court issues a no contact order? I sure as hell wouldn't. There's something wrong with that woman.
It's funny, because if you read TFA: "He explained that NBC, like most studios, would like the broadest distribution possible for its programming. But it has two disputes with Apple.
First, Apple insists that all TV shows have an identical wholesale price so that it can sell all of them at $1.99. NBC wants to sell its programs for whatever price it chooses.
Second, Apple refused to cooperate with NBC on building filters into its iPod player to remove pirated movies and videos.
it's STILL emitting carbon dioxide which is known to cause the more serious cases of fatal death.
You mean carbon monoxide, as CO2 is not emitted in the exhaust of a gas engine, and does not cause "the more serious cases of fatal death". Whatever that means.
BLAH BLAH BLAH Im tired of reading about everyone's lame ass opinion on what will be the result of the console wars. Everyone and their stupid brother thinks they know exactly what is happeneing here. Are you the CEO of Sony? No? Then shut the fuck up. The point is, this competition calls for desperate measures thus creating wonderful things for us consumers. That is all we should care about. Im tired of listening to wailing fangirls in heat over prices - as if they have invested in said companies.
I'm really curious as to why this got modded as insightful...it makes little sense. As a potential customer of theirs, I very well could invest in their company by purchasing their product. If they are pricing that product too high and screwing their customers, whos job is it to say so?
$199 back in 1984 was worth a lot more than $199 now.
Yes, but the cost of parts has decreased If the oringinal NES were release today at $199 how many do you think they would sell? I think they can hold onto $199 indefinitely. That had to be part of their motivation when designing it.
I think this just hit the nail on the head. Why are we letting politicians parent our kids? It's laws like this that are geared at lazy parents who don't keep an eye on thier children, and everyone suffers for it.
While I really hate the republican party, I don't feel the other side is much better. The state of political affairs is really disheartening right now. Politicians are all liars and criminals. How is our political system any different than an aristocracy? Those with the money rule, and it's usually inherited. It drives me crazy.
I'm not saying this would really solve any problems(I think most sites would buy a.XXX in addition to a.com), but how is this really any different than zoning laws? We pretty much tell adult store where they can and can't have a store? I know it varies with local regulation, but the idea is still the same.
I don't ever ship with fedex, but I'm pretty sure the form you sign when you send a package states that your package may be inspected for ANY reason. I ship to Canada quite a bit and have had several packages delayed because of customs inspections. It's interesting that the MPAA can just walk into an airport and open up packages. Just shows you how much control they have on an international scale...

Or is it only people who live behind glass curtains should throw stones?
...to an RIAA free America...
Nope...leave it to WB to f**k these up! :)
Except that downloading shows via Bittorrent is pure illegal. Most likely people will use it for shows they miss, or want to keep for the long term.

They always say "this will be XX% faster than the last chip". I'm waiting to see some real numbers...
