No, I am not saying that - but they can help preserve your freedom, or cost you your freedom.

I don't know if you're a native English speaker and most native speakers don't get this right.

You live, most likely, in a free society. Your movements aren't restricted. You can do anything you want, for the most part. However, there are penalties.

You are free to kill me. You are not at liberty to do so. If you try to kill me, I have the right to defend myself.

Meh... Opiates make you not care about trivial things like pain. If you still care about the pain, you haven't taken enough. They don't take pain away, you just don't care about it. They are kinda awesome like that.

The masseuse and massage therapist are different. The latter get mad when you call them the former. However, the former will give you a happy ending and the latter will not. Confusing the two will probably get you arrested.

Over the winter, I was at YouTube when something strange happened. For about 10 minutes, every "recommended" video was Japanese porn - looked like from the 70s or 80s, complete with pixilation covering penetration. It went on for the ten minutes I played around. I went back a half hour later and the behavior had stopped. I never saw a single news article reporting on it.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, except I was really surprised that nobody published anything about it. It makes me wonder how secure they are and how accurate their things like stats are.

Wait, I take that back - sort of... It appears someone else noticed on Nov. 30th, and posted to the Reddit site. So, I still wonder how much is legitimate traffic and how secure they really are.

I am an aged hippie and I don't believe any of that. I wonder why that is? I've done enough drugs for dozens of people. Hell, I've done enough drugs to make Keith Richards blush. I sure as hell didn't vote for Trump and I get medical advice from qualified professionals.

I don't even think I know any aging hippies who voted for him, now that I think about it. Is your family inbred, or something?

  20. This stuff makes me giggle. There is no such thing as alternative medicine. If it worked, they'd just call it medicine. I have seen ostensibly smart people fall for the strangest things. I'm reluctant to even call some of them pseudoscience. They are just gibberish excuses to foist crap on people who are gullible and unable to use reason. If nothing else, it makes me giggle - which, coincidentally, does have known effects on your health.

It is definitely improbably - but physics doesn't say it is impossible. The most accepted beliefs are that one could only move forward in time from a given point and only back as far as that given point. (Notably, time is relative.)

If you invented a device to enable time travel in 2020, you'd be able to go to 2030 and back to 2020. But, you'd never be able to go back to 2019.

That's the most accepted theory that I'm aware of, in a nutshell. You can also move forward in relative time and slow down your relative time by going fast or hanging out next to something with a lot of mass. Time is warped by gravity. If you stand next to the Great Pyramid at Giza, time moves just a teeny bit slower for you - than it will if I stand further away from said pyramid.

There are *no* "laws of physics" that prevent time travel. It's just REALLY unlikely that we'll ever figure out how. The laws don't prevent it, the engineering and knowledge does.
