    Furthermore- Saudi Arabia was one of few countries to recognize the Taliban government of Afghanistan and they were actually a major source of FUNDING for them!

    Guess which other country provided them with most of their weapons and training. Hint: it's not in the middle east.

    I couldn't care less if these countries had nukes, bioweapons or whatever the fuck they want to build. What I'm worried about is the terrorist retaliation attacks using those weapons on my country after the US makes up some excuse to invade them.

    I think a good question to ask is why there's an open source Radeon 9800 driver that can run Doom 3 despite ATi not providing any specs, yet the open nv driver can barely run xcompmgr on a 7800GTX.

    Pick a well-known Linux app. Any will do. Imagine you're one of the main developers for it, and someone comes along and releases a "desktop-ready" Linux distro with your app in it. You're now one of two dozen people that has to deal with unpaid support requests for one hundred million lusers who won't ever RTFM, and who will more often than not tell you to fuck yourself if you even suggest they go read the instructions. You're now stuck with that forever, unless you're willing to destroy your current online identity and start over anonymous.

    MS propaganda won't kill Linux and neither will litigation. The 500 mile high tsunami of bullshit the article author is demanding is what will kill it.

    They're taking one chip design and making it smaller, faster and lower power. Somewhere in the article it mentions that the 90nm version of this CPU takes about 2W at GC speeds. For reference, the DS is rated at 1.6W. You can probably predict where this is going.

    The GP post seems to have totally omitted the fact that Nintendo hardware has been the worst black box of them all ever since the NES was released. Unlike MS and Sony who have actually _invited_ people to run homebrew code on their hardware.

    You see performance comparisons all the time, and websites dedicated to them, but how often do you get someone comparing the power drain? Or any sort of benchmark using consoles, for that matter.

    Here's what I'd recommend:

    Leave the phone off the hook. When you start getting house visits from people thinking you were dead etc., tell them exactly who's to blame. You can use the phone normally after the election day.
    Also remember to make use of your local anti-harassment laws (if you're lucky enough to have them).
