    Yes, and Japan just allocated or outline over $6B for their far shorter maglev. So that $45M should be enough to replace part of the Disneyland monorail.

    This isn't anything new. Argonne National Laboratories did research much like this, to engage the "alternate body" clock. It involves feasting and fasting, with special attention to the day prior to travel crucial to it working:

    My opinion is TFA misses the larger point of what Santa Fe represents. It is referred to as "The City Different" as has people who for mayoral candidates that run on the platform that they will channel the long dead popular mayor and act on his advice. Actually, that's not the surprising part. That the person did not finish last in the race is to me more surprising. So in the greater scheme of things, an allergy to Wi-Fi seems perfectly reasonable.

    No, it should fail because everything has to become as bloated as Microsoft stuff in order to implement it.

    That might well be the case, but it doesn't really address what Feynman is saying. Yeah, there's plenty of examples as you say, but the point of TFA is that the whole top down approach is another whole area that leads to failure.

    From personal experience, if you ever hear someone say "Our design will be a pristine waterfall..." don't walk, run.

    My advice is to write up something like "You don't feel there is value in this, I'd like to post it and work on it on my own time." Present it to your boss. You and they will feel good about your honesty and straightforwardness.

    I can only think of a single more important item. The ability to learn - NOT what you've learned, but showing you can learn.
    It's been many years since I graduated and aside from these two, there's nothing that I use from college days.
