A private investigator employed by the News of the World made a record of the mobile number, password and pin belonging to the Sky Sports commentator Andy Gray, the high court was told today.
Suggest that they used more than default pin numbers, otherwise why write it down.
The reasoning behind this is the server, perhaps running locally, is providing services to the clients, perhaps running remotely, and that is what servers are supposed to do at the end of the day.
Let me get this straight; your evidence that the EU just wanted to go after the big "evil" American company is that they didn't go after another bit "evil" American company?
the iPhone dev kit requires that you pony up the $99 to gain access to the dev kit itself.
I don't believe this is correct. I haven't paid paid $99 yet I have access to the dev kit.
Among other things, the $99 allows you to sign your app so you can install it on real hardware.
According to your description here, it really does appear there isn't much difference, including
having a simulator to test your code in.
No mention of geotagging though, as far as I'm aware, which is a bit of a disappointment. It's listed under "Camera" at the "Tech Specs" page http://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/specs.html
That's rubbish. Let's look at the examples from "American Heritage Dictionary" (it was handy, use another if you want).
In addition; also: He's coming along too.
More than enough; excessively: She worries too much.
To a regrettable degree: My error was all too apparent.
Very; extremely; immensely: He's only too willing to be of service.
Informal Indeed; so: You will too do it!
You could replace the first example and it would work. The next three would be meaningless and it would completely change the meaning of the last example. So the OP was right about being wrong.
Two slight nitpicks,
(1) The C holdouts. These folks grew up learning C and functional programming. Within the context, I think you mean procedural programming. Functional programming would be a better fit under point 4.
And regarding your sig,
If you can't find a real troll, just mod down whoever you don't agree with! Your post wasn't trolling, but rather flamebait;)
if Novell took a GPLed software and wrote documentation for it, should the documentation be under the GPL? If that were the case then O'Reilly would be public enemy number one. In other words, no.
Firewire is also popular for the pro audio work where the bandwidth allows for the likes of 56 channels. Yes, you can get USB or PCI interfaces, but those with USB tend to be at the lower end of the market and the PCI based ones obviously won't work with a laptop.
Quantum cryptography is still vulnerable to a type of MITM where the interceptor (Eve) establishes herself as "Alice" to Bob, and as "Bob" to Alice. Then, Eve simply has to perform QC negotiations on both sides simultaneously, obtaining two different keys. Alice-side key is used to decrypt the incoming message, which is reencrypted using the Bob-side key. This attack fails if both sides can verify each other's identity.
which is pretty much what was stated.

The fact that the original artist/writer/whathaveyou must actually sell his copyright, and I mean every right & title he ever had in the work as the originator, to some megacorp publisher/exploiter in order to realize a damned dime for his effort, is the most rancorous thing in the current law once the outragious time its now valid has been brought back under control.
Factory Records are interesting as they kicked against the system, allowing the bands to keep their tracks. Also they're well known. Of course, Factory also don't exist anymore, but I'd suggest that generally
dodgy business practices, such as their best selling single costing them money for each copy sold, were to blame in the long run. Never the less, I don't think Factory can be viewed as a failure, as what they helped to produce stands up to scrutiny.
I did find this from the band Section 25 while I was doing a quick check:
"Certain" musicians brought the conversation round to contracts or more specifically in Factorys case the lack of them. Tony said we all had something far than valuable than contracts we had "Freedom, The freedom to fuck off".My brother and I were not convinced and certainly would have preferred the slavery of up to date accounts and regular royalty cheques.Tony seemed to think this kind of thing a piffling distraction from the main purpose of subverting the music biz.
When I did administration on a Netware 3 setup running our only networked manufacturing line at the time I remember by boss and an external consultant discussing the UPS the server was plugged into, some bizare old thing enclosed in a welded plate steel box.
"Does that thing really work", the consultant asks, doubting this Victorian era technology.
"Of course it does", answers my boss as he demonstrates by pulling the plug from the wall.
...smoke starts billowing out of the UPS and the server promptly shuts itself down, while in the middle of production, of course.

There are probably exceptions, but I think it's probably best for a for the standards to reflect working practice.
It's an easy mistake to make, but garageband.com the website (from the GP) and Garageband the application are unrelated.

Can't we just get bejond the Thunderdome?
