Whoever modded you as Troll is an idiot.. there really is no significant difference other than the software. Guess the fanbois aren't too happy!! Keep it up:)
Good call. But, its Square.. pretty damn successful/large company. You would think they have the man power to code for both.. similar to coding for PC, you have so many hardware configurations/restraints. While the PC's would have much more in common than these two consoles, a bit of modular coding wouldn't hurt. But come to think of it, I can't really think of a block buster game released for two different consoles that really pushed the hardware to the limit.
I guess its also possible that the returns they might get for releasing it cross platform won't make up for production costs.
I understand the pains of coding for 2 entirely different systems, but they have the man power and they have the money. Why close themselves off? While I'm sure that both console makers would like to have an exclusive FF game, but that doesn't mean Square-Enix has to take a side. I would think it would boost sales for both consoles.
It would be nice to have dedicated flash memory for the operating system of your choice. I have no idea how this would work with linux or OSX, etc etc, but somewhere to store page files or hell, even the entire OS (although I'm guessing that would take a bit of work on the OS side). I guess it would make the motherboards much more expensive, so hell, even a slot to put in an SD card or something would be pretty handy..
They could do it already if they wanted, billboards aren't exactly designed to be space reducing, would be very easy to throw on a few speakers.. you wouldn't need this expensive paper to do it..
It seems so strange that you wouldn't see any of the walls of the tube. The sun would have to either be almost directly above, or, the hole's walls would have to go slope outwards of the hole, kind of like a bubble underneath the surface with the tip exposed..
Seems extremely odd. I'm beginning to wonder if this isnt just a photoshop/publicity stunt..
Why wasn't this brought up during the original trial?? Seems like something that she might want to say? Especially if it did happen? It seems like they had no hard evidence that she was displaying pornography to these children.. I think the first thing I would say if accused is "it was a pop-up!". Case closed?
Yes, I'm sure that a blockbuster series like Final Fantasy, wouldn't get a boost from a console who's players have literally been begging for a Final Fantasy game for years. There are no loads of fanboys dreaming about a High Definition Final Fantasy on a console thats pretty much in the lead for next gen consoles. Square Enix, yeah, they really fucked up, topping the Japanese sales charts. It doesn't have to set any records to be a good game. Winning all those awards probably doesn't help either. I couldn't find any North American sales figures but I'm sure they are just as shitty.
Just because you aren't a fan of the series, doesn't make it a dead series. Personally, I haven't played through 12 yet, but I've heard from close friends its a huge improvement over X and X-2. IMHO, X wasn't that bad, although I prefer the older FFs. Remember, these games are mostly slated to the Japanese culture, do you live in Japan? So stick to playing your WoW and whatever other american RPG's, clearly japanese RPGs aren't your style.
One might say that there is a difference between hearing kids their age say it, and hearing adults say it. Kids look up to adults more than they do their peers, and I would imagine that TV "stars" saying it might have a more prominent effect.
You do have a valid point however, and I agree with it. Absolute control of your child is not always the best idea. Children inherently have rebellious tendencies, and we all know control is not the answer. But it is sufficient to a point, parents just need to learn where that point is, as it defers from child to child.
Just to be clear, the warnings aren't law, and it is still up to the parent to decide what is appropriate and what isn't.
It would be perfectly sensible to show a warning before live shows. For example, a hockey game is not likely to have swearing and nudity, but certainly violence (not killing, you know what I mean). For something like an awards show, it is more likely to have cursing/partial nudity (almost), and you can label it with a warning as such. See, then you can allow swearing, or other subjects that might seem inappropriate for children, as long as you have the warning. This is clearly on topic.
Well, it was kind of my point that parents should be doing. If a parent cares about what their children see, they should be going at lengths to find out what the show is like, sit down and watch it with them or something. Cartoons, generally not a problem, although that really depends on what you want your kid to watch. But really, regulations shouldn't be in place solely to do a parent's job. Parental controls are a great idea. This way, you aren't leaving up to other people to decide what it is your kids can and can't watch. Perhaps there should be better parental controls, kind of like a per-show basis, and have some kind of basic summary/rating to help you decide if you are unsure. I think thats a much better idea rather than restrictions and censorship.
You remember that little warning at the beginning of the show? This show contains coarse language, sexual content, and violence? Yeah, that means don't let your kids watch it. That wasn't too difficult I hope!
Umm, check with your doctor, because you might be stupid. I said I am working for a professor on an unrelated project. But I guess you saw through that plight and connected the dots!
My professor that I am working under has been studying images here for the past few years. Whatever you might gain from these other images is not likely to be that much more than what was already publicly available. I personally haven't been doing any work on these, as I am just coding a side project for him, but from what he's told me, its not very useful to have these images without any kind of elevation model, using stereographic cameras or lasers and such (from a structural geology point of view).
"We could use the software to hide flaws in the hardware, which would allow designers to release products sooner because problems could be fixed later," explains Hazelwood.
How about lets not encourage companies to rush out unfinished products any more than they already do?

I did, and it was mostly about laptops.. you might have found the only, or one of the only paragraphs that even mention desktops.
But it comes with a build in webcam!!! :(

The horse is dead. You can stop beating it now. Title should be "Puncturing the 'PC Laptops Are Cheaper Than Mac Laptops' Myth", at any rate.

Wow, thats the legal system for ya.

Try making a Software company called Walmart. What would happen with that?
LOL

Nope, but it certainly helps.

Mod parent up. This is exactly what I'm talking about.

Sorry bud, I normally don't respond to ACs, but your comment was so ridiculous and uninformed I just couldn't help myself!

Save electricity! Piss off your wife! Attach to your kids!
