I absolutely hate the startup screenshot thing in iOS, because when it takes 5+ seconds to load the application I'm mashing the screen wondering when it's going to start. If it said "Loading" or at least looked like a splash screen I'd be less impatient on waiting.
I think this is mostly because some of said pirates might tend to avoid the appstore entirely, or dislike having DRM on their packages (which doesn't really make sense for the end user ON their device). Their loss though, since you don't get auto-updates.
The way you're using 4G and 3G is kind of confusing. The numbers themselves are rather broad, and technologies differ between GSM and CDMA. You probably want to refer to things like EDGE (3G)/HSPA+ (3.5G) (for GSM networks) and EVDO (for CDMA networks). And Verizon isn't doing anything wrong, inherently, the speed and lack of simultaneous data and voice is part of EVDO's standard and you'll notice that Sprint too has the same problems.
Yes, but then Chrome properly interprets it as a URL and navigates there directly, I'm talking about IE and Firefox (usually IE users, probably..) users that type stuff like facebook.com directly into the search bar instead of the address bar.
Really it shouldn't be doing that at all, and it would help keep idiots off the internet (unfortunately people still type full URLs into the search bar, too)
Yes, a lot of people do buy isk! You know. By buying PLEXes and selling them in the market like you're supposed to. The question is, why to people use illegal outfits like this, instead of the CCP-sanctioned method?
This is a really weird thing, to me. It happens *every* major version of Firefox release, too, and usually results in some addons being abandoned and replaced by one that supports the new version. I'm an addon developer and my extension has had support since the betas were available to set as a version in addons.mozilla.org. There's been plenty of time, and I doubt they've been breaking addons *that* often.
Stuff like this is always weird, I think it's because the legal team handling this gets the page set up, not Verizon corporate. On a side note, there was probably a press release linking to that site, or you could likely call customer support to verify it.

With space lasers?
Whoops, got GPRS and EDGE mixed up across the generations. All the more reason that the numbers don't mean that much.
Well, a lot of them are still locked into their iPhone contract, until they can switch to Verizon.

Even though the FAQ says Slashdot is U.S.-centric.
Are you confusing AT&T Mobility with AT&T Internet? They're not the same entity, just like how Verizon Wireless is not the same entity as Verizon.
So where do you suggest they put the username in the SMS message? (Psst, that's what the extra 20 characters is reserved for)
Supporting more than 140 characters would break SMS support.
When did that happen? Are you referring to the (real and documented) SSH exploit?
This sounds about right.. I know the only time I'd want to be programming in LabView is when I'm drunk.
They mean at any given time, they can stop, fix the 15 bugs, and release. Not release WITH 15 bugs.
It pretty much is. They never sold anything outright less than 500 points.

Actually, while Google Voice supports SMS, it does not support shortcodes, or premium SMS services. So that wouldn't work here. :(
Didn't you see Men in Black 2?! Our mail is sorted by aliens, not machines!

You should switch to Verizon! (No, seriously, they will let you put SMS and data blocks on your account. I have family members that have them set.)
MOTD? Ministry of the Day?
Chrome, Firefox, Opera, whatever. IE loses.
If you have a custom bootloader it's always possible to root (because it can take modified upgrade packages)
