The problem, other than copying something exactly straight out of a book, is there is no way to tell, i mean somewhere there is bound to have someone write the same words in the same order, there is not a million way to say things.
And by acknowledging an idea and writing about it while not mentioning you read it somewhere else are you guilty again?
I think that if no credit is taken for something, then there is no plagia unless proven that the person was seen reading and doing transcript word for word of an entire paper and putting his or her name on it.
I have a friend who had one of those cleaning aspirators at home, he was very happy to have something cleaning most of the dirt at home while he was away.

Martin's crow novels, man this guys is great, he keeps you on the edge and wanting for more, Robert jordan has left me wanting less and less, i keep reading in the hope that there is going to be significant changes but i can barely tolerate reading about Egwene and the Aes sedai, damn
depth perception has nothing to do with color, it's about your two eyes.
If the screen inside the goggles are lcd or some kind of display, the depth perception will not be that great unless there is some kind of techonolgie to make it look 3d

Let's assume someone keeps his machine 5 or 6 years with linux installed on it and suddenly something give, like the cpu or the memory, now how much would it cost for that user to get the same cpu to run on his machine? We assume here it's a server and not some home usage, How much do you think it's going to cost him to find replcment parts?
O.k he could always scrap the machine and buy another one, maybe not new but overall it would cost the company more downtime than anything else and ultimately you would be throwing the computer away anyway.
We may change our computers every 3 years but those machine will go to someone else and maybe work for another 3 years so it's going to be the same in the end when it comes to the environment.

herbert's son isnt all that bad a writer but i would agree that the butlerian jihad series sucked ass compared to house atreide, house harkkonen, and house corrino, of course his father's work is an all together range of writing but we cant expect two person to have the same writting skills or style.
Dan simmons would be the closest author (that i have read) who kind of have similar depth when writing sci-fi books

I have to agree that Serenity was not that great of a movie and i would put the same for almost any movies based on tv shows.
X-files series was good but the movie kind of sucked. T
