Interesting stuff. Targetting the idiots who are lower rank in gangs seems like a really good idea, given some of the spectacularily stupid stuff people admit on the internet. Can't help but feel this won't catch any of the serious gangsters though.
True, but current blade servers are an unimpressive implementation of an excellent idea. I think he was talking about future "blades", easily swappable to reduce or increase server capacity as needed, as greater flexibility seems to me to be the killer app for future servers.
I find it funny the way that all the other suggestions for "... Hero" games get reasonable mods, but accordian hero gets (Score:0, Troll). Slashdot moderation is showing excellent musical taste!
They were the first to come up with it. A lot of the most interesting features in Elite were squeezed into the game in literally bytes. Initially, where the 3d map was there would have been two columns of numbers that told you where you were. It wasn't very intuitive, and the creators came up with the 3D map in a couple of spare bytes.

Remember the World of Starcraft aprils fools joke? I don't even play WoW, but that sounded incredibly cool. I'd play that. Hopefully Blizzard will start making a real Starcraft MMORPG sometime.
