If someone calls me to fix their PC, i will, and i will install firefox. I also put a trigger on IE to save a text file with the number of times it has been opened. If they call me back, it they use IE regularly, i wont fix their PC. its their problem if they WANT it broken.
I, a 22 year old nerd, have been building fanless, high performance machines that are silent since the 90's. My first PC I built when I was 12 was silent. A fanless gaming machine. Rubber o-rings kept the loudest part, the hard drive, from making noise. The power supply fan was removed, and the case slotted to allow passive convection cooling. This is a really unimpressive "break through."

Intel Atoms were designed to be low power, and that is it. I own an Apple TV, which is severely hacked, in order to offer decent performance and actually be useful(iTunes Independent). This machine is running an Atom equivalent(same chip, before they named it Atom). It's performance is pathetic, as are the other 3 Atom products i own. They all run DDR2, at a low speed that is unsuitable for good HD performance. The bottle neck is there. Fastest graphics card in the world is useless if you cant supply it data fast enough!
