No problem. Your core argument is sound: Developers should take security seriously.
Just so you know, some developers work in an environment where it is policy that the users (including the developers) are admins of their machines. Most desktops have some third-party vendor software that requires users to run as admin. They couldn't develop with less privilege if they wanted to.
Step 0 (nil?): If you are installing on a Serial ATA/SCSI drive, grab an old 3.5" Floppy drive out of a box in the garage and install it in 'cause setup is only going look for a floppy drive at A:
(Or you can slipstream them into your own installer CD. Of course, you would need a functioning OS for that.)
I think drive letters are great!!!
You're right about the importance of graphics vs. gameplay, but if you're a chronic high-end pc gamer you just dropped almost the price of a PS3 on EACH of your GeForce SLI 8800 GTX cards. Of course you can get three XBox 360s for that...
I think you would demand better performance than a console.

Is that the employer's or developer's fault?
"He told me to shut the fuck up. I feel so much better about myself."
Outstanding...

OS/400. I believe it ran system/36 code. When they switched to PowerPC, programs 'converted' to 64-bit on the fly thanks to TIMI. Hope this helps.
"Royale with Cheese..."
And a lawnmower engine...no wait...that would make "B.A." Baracus proud. My bad.
